Der Grand Prix du Vin Suisse (GPVS) wurde als Wein-Wettbewerb im Jahr 2004 erstmals lanciert und dokumentiert jedes Jahr den aktuellen Stand der Qualität und die Marktpräsenz aller Schweizer Weine. Seit seiner Gründung hat sich der GPVS zum erfolgreichsten und grössten Wettbewerb für Schweizer Weine entwickelt.
Der Grand Prix du Vin Suisse ist ein gemeinsames Projekt der ® Intervinum AG, Zürich, Herausgeberin des Weinmagazins VINUM und der Vereinigung VINEA, Sierre. Die beiden Organisatoren sind verantwortlich für die Gesamtorganisation des Wettbewerbs und Durchführung der Degustationen. Der Wettbewerb steht unter dem Patronat des Schweizerischen Önologen-Verbandes (USOE).
