Just like the previous version, Timed Silent 4.0 is a phone silencer which can set the ringer to vibrate mode either for a specified period, in 15 minute increments (maximum 8 hours), OR until a certain time, such as 3:21 PM. Never be embarrassed with your phone ringing during an important meeting or at a theater watching a movie. AND never again will you miss a call, text, or email because you forgot to turn your phone's ringer back on!
NEW User Interface! Timed Silent 4.0 now offers easy to use quick-tap buttons to silence the phone or un-silence the phone at any time. Switch between all phone silencing functions with a one finger swipe or tap. Ever forget how long you set your phone to silence? Now you can easily see when your phone is scheduled to un-silence on every page of the Timed Silent 4.0 app. You can easily un-silence immediately by touching the volume up button on your device.
The Calendar Sync feature detects the events your phone needs to be silenced for. This app will work with the Calendar service of any account you have synced on your device. Use Timed Silent 4.0 on all your phones and your Calendar event will be silenced on each one. To silence a Calendar meeting automatically, the event should be saved at least a minute or two in advance depending upon network activity. For immediate silencing, use the app's manual settings. This feature has been tested on Android 4.0 and should function on all future versions of Android.
An additional feature has been added to allow users to remove the advertisements shown at the bottom of the App. For a small In-App payment of $0.99 (US), all ads will be removed and you will get any future App upgrades (more coming... see below!) for free.
Future Planned Updates:
1) Ability to add/delete Calendar silence events and meetings easily within the App.
2) View a listing of all events on your Calendar and easily silence or un-silence each event with a simple checkbox.
3) Set a specified amount of time (up to 15 minutes) before or after each meeting starts and ends to silence your phone.

3 ★Feature request: get a pop-up when I manually mute the phone ("hey I see you want your phone quiet right now. Cool. When would you like me to turn the ringer back on?"). That would be awesome. It's glitchy... Get the dreaded "not responding" and calendar sync seems to work and not work automatically, randomly. Would love for this to work flawlessly. Puzzled why Samsung doesn't build it into their phones from the get go
2 ★This worked perfectly, for a few days. After the first time it silenced my phone for a scheduled appointment it stopped silencing on schedule, even though it shows the right events in the app. The manual timed silence still works fine and is worth having, but the scheduled silence was the key reason to have the app. Disappointing.
5 ★Sometimes the best apps are the ones that do what they say they will do and they do it so well you don't even notice them. Timed Silent 4.0 is just that. I study and so it is so easy to add my class times to my calendar with (silent) in the description and let the app take care of the rest. I highly recommend this app.

5 ★Finally! An end to embarrassing rings during classes or meetings. And no more missed calls because I forgot to un-silence afterwards Just put "(silent)" in the calendar event description or title, and the phone is silent during the meeting. Even nicer for repeated events because it only has to be done once for the series. So convenient, I have to give it five stars even though it could be better. For example, I'd like to specify my own silencing strings too (like "Meeting" or "Class"), and non-event schedules to silence it during sleeping hours. And I'd like a widget to display the silenced state, instead of just an icon. As is, it's still a must-have!
5 ★Great for silencing during events based on my calendar. My phone doesn't make noise during church anymore and I don't have to remember to unsilence it afterwards.
5 ★I've used the Timed Silent Pro app from this developer for a long time but when I upgraded to a new Samsung Galaxy S3, I was disappointed that the app wouldn't work on ICS. With this new app they have really improved the usability and it seems to work seamlessly with my Google Calendar.
