1 ★Happy now but was Initially frustrating - tried a few times to set up via WiFi to no avail as app doesn't allow either selection or entry of desired network. Wired set-up easy and once done you are asked if you want to set up WiFi and this time can select from list. Everything seems to work but is obviously reliant upon the internet connection - the camera is in another property (within the same network there is no lag).
1 ★The app worked fine on my iPhone, but now that I have the android version (Pixel 3 phone) the app crashes, freezes, and will sometimes even open and close multiple times. I often have to reset my phone in hopes the app will work long enough for me to view my two cameras. I'd say the app works issue-free about 20% of the time.
5 ★I live in a rural area and use my other phone as a hotspot for my camera it works great I can check on my house while at work and such I can listen to any sounds and I can speak through the camera and give commands such as.. get to the chopper and get out of my house.. great view and night vision to.... Get out of my house I'm about to circle back and shoot you
3 ★App is ok. I turned off some permissions to the app like my location, camera, mic (i don't know why you need access to these once I added the cameras, unless you want to spy on people) ... Every time I run the app, it sends me to the phones settings to change my permissions ...The app works fine without those permissions ... Why do you keep on trying to make me change my privacy settings? .. not cool. Please make it s
1 ★I've had this camera for years and let me tell you, this is the absolute worst camera you can ever spend money on. It crashes and freezes or refuses to connect to WiFi, notice theres no contact number for issues yeah thats because the manufacturers dont speak any English, I'm finally just going to go and spend the money on a good camera, and note that YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST YOUR FAMILY'S LIFE WITH THIS JOKE OF A PRODUCT!!!
1 ★The app is very bad on android. The zooming functionality doesn't work well. Once you're zoomed in it's very weird to move the picture around. When i slide my hand up or down to move the camera up or down it moves it right or left instead. We have the app on apple phone and it works perfectly. Wish they fix these issues in Android
1 ★- Clicks "Check Firmware Version" - "Failed to get info from system firmware" - Clicks "✅" to update alarm settings - After almost a minute of unresponsiveness "Alarm Settings Failed" - Clicks "▶️" to remotely view camera - Gets continuous never ending loading screen. This app is complete junk! I'm ashamed to say that I have wasted my money on their product because this app is just flat out garbage!
2 ★cameras will not let me set to record when motion is detected only. pan and tilt is so so so slow. reviewing recording is so 10 years ago model. first it will not let you set recording minutes . it only records 17 seconds at a time .and no option to fast foward video skip video. it's the most time consuming BS for viewing recordings. And not forgetting the quality of the recording is so poor that you are unable to identify persons on the recordings
2 ★Cannot use all their cameras on one app. I've been using two cameras for about two years now and just purchased two more. The newer models are wansview cloud app only and require a separate app. It's not helpful when you can't monitor all four cameras at once (via the multi-camera view) in one place.
4 ★Auto update to 1.0.14 had left all my Wansview cameras unusable. Turned off auto updates and regressed to 1.0.10 from the company site, and was able to reset all but one camera, but it hangs connecting from work, so still useless. Got an Oreo phone and 1.0.14 works fine. An intermediate version (1.0.12?) had worked on my tablet, which is stuck at Lollipop thanks to Lenovo. Suggest Wansview publish 1.0.12? on their site for others with older devices. Great cameras, but working s/w is critical.
4 ★I would give a rating if it would install!! Bought the IP camera and THIS is supposed to be the go to support app. So far, it's never gotten to the point of installing on my Samsung 7. Could you guys check this out or recommend another supporting app, cause right now I have a brick for a cam and I JUST bought it! **Update** Got Wansview App to work off the SITE download. And it works GOOD!
1 ★I was able to set up and install, as well as capture motion video. However I cannot get the menu to come up below the videos to delete anything. Also it's not recognizing my SD card. I've got a Samsung pad. At this rate I'm going to run out of internal storage because I can't use my SD card and I can't delete any old videos.
