Drivermatics is a powerful smartphone driving application that provides Dash Cam and BlackBox Telematics recording capabilities for your car and vehicle journeys. Drivermatics records each journey and provides you with information on your journey including travel time, distance travelled, average & top speeds, plus a driving score.Drivermatics uses the GPS, accelerometer and gyroscope sensors in your smartphone to record detailed telematics journey data about how you drive your car or vehicle. Drivermatics provides you with a driving a score for a bit of fun, so that you can see how safe your driving is. We use telematics calculations to create your score based on the acceleration, braking and cornering of your vehicle. This can be a great way to see if you are suited to a telematics based insurance policy.
The Drivermatics Dashboard Camera (DashCam) feature allows you to record forward facing video, which can help prove who was at fault if you are involved in an incident or accident, or if you notice something interesting whilst driving that you want to share via Facebook, YouTube or other social media channels.
Our powerful accident management workflow engine helps guide you through what to do if you are involved in an accident and allows you to capture valuable information whilst at the scene, including video, photographic, audio and text based evidence.

3 ★Great concept, but not working fine. First, only 2 last videos are visible, others lost for unknown reason. Second, as you press SOS button, app asks for additional details and stops recording video until next video file. Third, sound recording on/off button would be a must have on screen. Fourth, the left part of recording screen is layer over layer, hard to see whats behind STOP Jurney button. Hope you resolve those issues, as I like it very much.
3 ★Dashboard is clear, intuitive and easy to use. However, the website mentions "background video mode", though I've only seemed to be able to get it to record when the app was in the foreground. Also, I've set it to use Waze for satnav, but navigation button opens Google Maps. Could be a bug. Overall, 3/5, because despite how good the app is, the lack of clarity of whether the video recording is actually working (and lack of decent documentation) means I'm not sure whether I can actually trust it or not.
4 ★As a dashcam this is a great app. I have two minor gripes 1. The speed registered on the App sometimes reads really, really slow, I'm not sure if this is the app or the GPS on my phone being a bit slow to register/lock. The speed reads slow for a few miles and then all of a sudden reads the right speed. 2. There is a beep that occurs when the video file is closed and re-started. I have mine set to record in 2 minute intervals so I get the beep every 2 minutes, I cannot turn it off so cannot use my phone as my audio player in the car because the beeping is just too annoying :( I've put a message on the support forum but no-one has yet replied. 4 stars, it is really a 3.5, if I can get the beep turned off then it'll be a 4.5, if the speed is right all the time then it'll go to a 5. This is the only dashcam app I have and I do like it and have not tried any others.
