With the A1 Sicherheit App, you can protect your passwords and surf the Internet encrypted & anonymously.With the A1 Passwortschutz (password vault) and A1 Netzwerkschutz (Privacy-VPN) products included in the A1 Security app, you can shop online without worrying. Your accounts are protected by the passwords stored and encrypted in the password vault. The privacy-VPN additionally encrypts your data connection and thus protects against the theft of payment data or other sensitive information.
These functions are provided by the A1 Security app:
- Privacy-VPN: Once you activate the privacy VPN, you connect to a VPN server. This makes it look as if you are on the Internet from a different location in Austria and with a different IP address. The data between you and the VPN server is secured by an encrypted tunnel. Only VPN protocols can decrypt the data again. This way, no one can access it without authorization. Furthermore, tracking cookies are also blocked so that no one can evaluate your user behavior for marketing purposes.
- Password vault: In the password vault, you can have secure passwords with up to 32 characters automatically created and stored in encrypted form. In addition, you can easily enter already existing passwords. This way you don't have to remember complicated combinations anymore and have everything stored safely in one place. The password vault also offers the possibility to use the passwords by means of the "auto fill-in" function in the browser.
