Panduit's RapidID cables are manufactured with unique RapidID barcodes.The RapidID application uses those barcodes for scanning and capturing connections as well as verifying and finding cable locations.
The RapidID app is used with a Bluetooth® scanner to scan the barcodes into files that can be uploaded for you to keep track of network connections in your data center. Panduit recommended scanners include a “clip” to make scanning the correct cable easy. However, the app will work with most Bluetooth® Low Energy scanners.
The RapidID application ensures scanning can be done for long periods by minimizing battery usage on the phone and scanner. The full experience is realized using the app with an iPad, but all features are available on the iPhone as well.
