Pixels per inch (PPI) is a measurement of the pixel density of a digital display such as a mobile screen, laptop or television. It is related to the size of the display in inches and the total number of pixels in the horizontal and vertical directions. Horizontal and vertical density are usually the same, as most devices have square pixels.
