Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★PRO: Accurate results when compared to other apps. Provides a relevant reference for db ranges via pop-up screen. Sound meter and graph on one page. Exit app with back button double tap. CON: no ability to obtain a weighted measurement (the only relevant measurement in human sound. Also the measurement specified by noise laws / building codes) (no app tested has this ability). OVERALL: good
3 ★I see people talk about accuracy, but my experience is that for "normal levels" it is fine. But downgraded because the scale on the graph doesn't represent the reading - for my phone, there is a 20db difference. But overall, better than other similar apps. Just waiting for a bug fix.
1 ★This app is so not right... when I was outside and a car came by it said "80" which said very painful on the chart... it was NOT painful at all. That thing is a lie and a fake.
1 ★I was in a concert that was so lound it it was showing barely 80db. I used an iPhone with another app and it showed 98db.
2 ★Not special, nonexistent interface. Graphics are amateurish. Actual db output doesn't seem correct.
4 ★I use this to calibrate my home theater system. Works great. Although, not sure why it needs GPS permissions. Seems a bit excessive.
1 ★I downloaded this app so I could take measurments at a drag race and it wouldn't even go over 90 decibels. I know for a face it was at least 150 decibels cause it hurt my ears even with protection.
1 ★Regular conversation shows the same as my 4 year old's ear drum-shattering scream.
1 ★Just installed it. Sitting in a silent room with nothing but my laptop fan as sound and it is showing 40+ decibels sitting on the front of my laptop. Hitting 60+ just from the sound of my keyboard.
2 ★Caps out around 90, maybe it's s hardware limitation of a phone mic, but either way is inconsistent and vertu much a rough draft app
3 ★does ok, job but would be better to be able to go over 90, abd an option of average DB.
1 ★Doesn't go past 90. How the hell am I supposed to calibrate it if I have nothing to base it on?
