O Banco do Brasil disponibiliza ferramenta de apoio ao produtor rural: o aplicativo “GeoMapa Rural” para uso em smartphones e tablets. Trata-se de uma solução inovadora para captura das coordenadas (latitude e longitude) das áreas da propriedade rural, que gera informações necessárias à contratação de financiamentos no BB, contribuindo para o ganho de agilidade e eficiência na tomada de crédito.O aplicativo permite salvar os dados para testes ou validação da área, sem necessidade de autenticação. Para o envio das informações, é permitido o login tanto para pessoas físicas, quanto para pessoas jurídicas.
Estão disponíveis 02 modos de operacionalização: Captura Automática - onde o usuário faz o contorno da área e a cada 10 segundos o GPS interno do aparelho marca um ponto; e Captura Manual - marcando-se os pontos, no local, usando a função GPS ou com ajuda de um mapa de satélite. Esta última opção somente funcionará com a existência de rede e função dados móveis do aparelho ativada.
Em complemento, a página web "www.bb.com.br/agronegocios" apresenta funcionalidades de visualização e impressão do polígono transmitido ao BB com suas respectivas coordenadas. Nessa página é possível, também, fazer upload de arquivos .gpx, .kml e shapefile em formato .zip.
