A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Really love this app as an extension of the website! but there are a lot of features I wish were on it. For one, a "research grade" marker on the My Observations posts would be nice, because it's on everyone else's profile but your own. The app is also buggy and can be slow / crash doing basic tasks. I also see duplicates of my posts on my profile, even though they aren't on the website. Clearing app data fixes this, but small issues like this can be annoying. besides that, the app is awesome!
1 ★I always liked this app, even though people rarely helped ID my photos which made it a lot less useful. But I open it after 6 months of disuse to find that, not only will it not show any of my photos, it crashes every single time I use "Species Search" to look for a possible ID for them. Which is...you know...kind of a vital function! I have got the notification "iNaturalist keeps stopping" so many times over the last hour. Not even updating the app helped!
1 ★Every time I select "Choose Image" I get a black screen that I can't back out of and it lags to open my home screen. This seems to happen if I am doing things too quickly and when I have recently added a new observation. Sometimes it manages to open the "choose image" screen but it then says it is "empty" and if I try to select something it then freezes and I have to force close. To get it to stop doing this I have to clear cache and data then restart and relogin... Makes the app unusable.
1 ★Wonderful concept but poor execution. App is very slow and freezes often. Also, when you try to ID an obscure species, the app will show you a small number of reference photos or even no photos, even when others users have contributed countless research grade photos of the species. That makes it hard to ID. Seems like the reference photos are being pulled off Wikipedia although I'm not sure. Why not use photos users have contributed?
3 ★Crashes within 5 minutes of searching with Explore feature. Has been this way since installation, about a year ago. No fixes yet. iNaturalist's best feature is the Explore applet. The map search is a nice idea, it's a shame therefore it's not more robust. Overall the site is a nice one; ofc the site is more stable than the app.
3 ★The citizen science and database behind this app is fantastic, but they NEED to invest in a redesign of their software. This app functions like a middle schooler learning HTML for the first time and has a terrible design that makes it difficult to understand. It also lacks many features that Merlin and eBird have that would be very useful.
5 ★Absolutely love this app. I use it all the time. Great for anyone who loves nature and/or has curiosity about the world around them. My religion is nature based so it even helps my spirituality to be able to identify things! Feedback: would be great if we could swipe from one observation to the next in the explore page. I like to just look at the observations with my cousin and going back and forth gets tedious.
3 ★There is a major issue for me regarding the date and time of observation. A lot of times when I set the time, it for some reason doesn't register it and makes it several hours in the past, I have to constantly change it. Recently however, it is totally broken. Everytime I pick a picture, it automatically sets the date to December 31, 1969 for no reason. Really great app, but this problem is pretty big.
1 ★Update: app now totally non-working. Crashes seconds after opening, every time. Previous: Overheats phone, blocks calls, slows everything down even after it's closed. (Have 2 reboot.) Crashes & freezes constantly. Observations disappear and reappear. The app has some cool features the website doesn't (and vice versa). I appreciate having it. Wish it worked better. For problems, 1 star. For functionality, 4.
4 ★i love inaturalist! it's super useful for identifying things you want to learn more about, or for finding where you might see something in your area. sometimes the app uploads things more than once or uploads something with incomplete data when i've filled it all out, which can be a bit frustrating, but otherwise it's wonderful.
3 ★As much as I love the activity of inaturalist, the app has tons of problems: *I cant for the life of me figure out how to share my observations on social media *the interface is crazy slow at loading things: have missed a couple observations because of that. *features i would expect to find are missing (i.e. control of licensing of my images) And those are just the most obvious problems, i am sure i could find a ton more.
5 ★Most accurate photo recognition app for plants that I have found. iNaturalist seems much more committed to accuracy than the other apps. It will only get better as more people contribute. And it is free!! I like the maps (though sometimes it is hard to get them to open) and the community identification process. Well done!
