Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★This is great for a non rooted phone to be able to access samba shares over the network in other applications. The only issue is the fact that the application specifically has to support Android's new secure storage bologna, but that's not actually the apps fault, that's a Google thing.
5 ★Works well!
2 ★This isn't exactly working like I need it to. I need to access files on the nas with apps that can only access the phone's storage. The uri the app provides just isn't accessible to these apps and there's no way I can see to change it to mount to another directory in the phone's storage.
1 ★Was able to configure and successfully test a connection to my cifs drive - but there was no (apparent) way to actually browse and access the files. Android 14 on Moto g55.
3 ★Functionally, the app works as expected. 👌🏾👍🏾 But it really needs an interface-lift. Icons and GUI look like '90s era clipart.
2 ★I am using Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) phone and I am able to access my shared Windows network folder structure, but none of the files appear there. Why would the nested folder structure be navigable, but not the files? VLC Player is able to find and play the files, so I do have access.
1 ★Doesn't work at all
5 ★excellent app, works as designed.
5 ★Does its job (to enable access of network shares via the android document provider system), after finding and setting the network share in this app. Simply without fuss. 👍🏽
5 ★Works very well, easy to set up for my OMV NAS. Kinda hope to get sftp support at one point to have seamless remote access too (only ftp and ftps supported at the moment) Edit: sftp is added and works like a charm
