About Convert OS To Lat Long APK
Table Of Contents
Description
Convert OS to Lat Long is a simple Android app which does an offline conversion of Landranger OS coordinates to Latitude Longitude. It is aimed for use principally by hill-walkers and ramblers. Starting points for walks in Britain are usually specified in OS coordinates. Car sat-navs tend to accept Lat Longs but not OS Coordinates.Once installed on the Android device, the app is simplicity itself to use, just key the OS Coordinates into the text box (the 2 letter prefix is not case sensitive) and press Convert. The Coordinate will then be displayed as a Lat Long. If the coordinate entered is not valid then an error message will be displayed.
It may be noted that there is an approximate 50m difference for any given coordinate, in the Lat Long produced by the app and that produced by the Streetmap website. The Streetmap website appears to take the mid-point between the specified Landranger coordinate and the next value up (ie: SU123456 would be 123.5 & 456.5). The app just takes the coordinate as specified by the user (ie: 123.0 & 456.0).

Questions & Answers
Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.
