Aplikacja My Car przeznaczona jest dla osoby indywidualnej posiadającej samochód. Jej celem jest monitorowanie samochodu w sytuacjach, gdy udostępniamy go osobom trzecim.Żeby można było monitorować pojazd musimy umieścić w nim specjalne urządzenie: iTek-OBD, które wkładamy do złącza OBD II. To urządzenie posiada w sobie moduły: GPS, GSM, WiFi, pamięć, akumulator. iTek-OBD na bieżąco monitoruje pozycje i wysyła tą informacje do serwera. Nasz telefon łączy się z serwerem i odczytuje pozycje samochodu. W serwerze jest przechowywana również historia poruszania się pojazdu oraz wiele innych istotnych parametrów.
Szczególną funkcjonalnością jest identyfikacja kierowcy za pomocą technologii WiFi. Dzięki użytemu modułowi WiFi w urządzeniu iTek-OBD odczytujemy z telefonu komórkowego unikalny identyfikator. W tym celu muszą być spełnione dwa warunki: w telefonie musi być włączony moduł WiFi, a po drugie musimy wybrać i zaakceptować sieć "iTek". Akceptacja sieci iTek jest jednorazowa. Do dalszej eksploatacji wystarczy mieć włączony moduł WiFi w telefonie. W konsekwencji w aplikacji będzie widoczny identyfikator kierowcy, który można przypisać do wybranego kierowcy. Dzięki temu trasy, powiadomienia, alarmy, statystyki będą posiadały oznaczonego kierowcę. Aplikacja umożliwia też przypisanie zdjęcia kierowcy, co bardzo ułatwia interpretację danych.
