Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★Owner since the very first version on Palm, always loved it. Until this version. It may look cleaner and more modern but I don't see any functional improvement, it's much harder to use with multiple calendars without the colored backgrounds. And the only view I used, month on top and day on bottom, is apparently gone. It's also VERY sluggish on my Pixel 3, this was released too soon. And I've never spent $25 on an app and not starting now. I'm sure it's painful but you've made a mistake here.
1 ★Amazingly awful! I've been using pocket informant since it first came out. I've always thought it was the best calendar. I've paid for many "upgrades" because of the forced nag screens they put on with every launch. This version is awful! I will not be "upgrading" and paying a yearly fee. If the nag screen continues on the previous version I will unfortunately have to find a new calendar program. So disappointed after years of supporting the company this is how they treat us.
1 ★Blackmail! I've paid and used PI for years. Now I have to pay an exorbitant amount yearly for getting the same or even less functionality, with many of the issues of the old app still being present. And the old version is being hijacked with an incessant reminder message to upgrade. Not the way to treat your customers. Time to explore other options.
1 ★This is a downgrade. They’ve made it look simpler and now it has lost its power and productivity: - no field for the current day events under the month grid in month view any more. Now you have to hide it before you do anything else with the app. Annoying, and funny, as this screen was one of the advantages of PI - no long press menu with all the convenient and super-efficient functions in it - only 4 buttons at the bottom instead of 8 before. Let’s be simpler at the cost of useful - no “backup” button. Instead clicking a number of times in menus. - no text copy capability when viewing event’s note - many more things missing that cripple the app. In addition, if I did not have an informant sync subscription, I was not going to be able to use the pro functions. Why?! I have paid for the Pro version of Pocket Informant already, so I must be allowed to use it. And what if I no longer wish to use Informant sync at some point in the future? Am I going to be cut off from the pro functions! This is mean and Jesuitical on your part, isn’t it!
1 ★Longtime user no more. I loved the previous versions; however, the new version is a step backwards with an added yearly $25 subscription price to use the app now. The widget does not work for the new version, which limits the utility of the app (and is a deal breaker for me). Also, you can still only sync with Toodledo or Evernote for to-do items when others are out there now. I am cancelling my subscription and waiting to see if this improves or I find another combined to-do/calender app.
1 ★Long story short - the good bits, which made PI to stand out, are gone or replaced by stuff that's widely available elsewhere - no day view at the bottom of the month, no background colour for non-all-day events, etc. ALL settings are locked unless you subscribe for $25/yr. Even PI4 is ruined by the latest update (wouldn't minimise, keeps popping up). PI used to be the best, then it was just good, then clung on to being good enough to keep... and now even that's not the case anymore. Shame!
1 ★The only calender that works is the monthly view. I cant edit old tasks. I would not choose to pay for this upgrade, as PI 4 is much better. They won't be updating the old app any more, but its been years since having an upgrade anyway. Its fine as is. No need to upgrade. I am leaving pocket informant. There are many calendars that are comparable in quality and features for an acceptable one time payment. I am in Canada. $24.99 a year to maintain my pocket informant calendar is to much money.
3 ★I've used PI (paid version) since the Pocket PC. "Lifetime ad-free" for each version has always been attractive. Now PI has broken their promise with a problematic upgrade with nag screen. (Newest release does remove nag screen but you have to update from within PI v4). Finally got a response to my email. In the meantime I bought Pimlical PIM (one-time charge) and am very pleased with it. I'm just sad: after 20 years I've lost a good friend. But looking forward to time with my new friend.
2 ★Tried to upgraded from version 4 to this version 5. But version 5 crashes whenever I long press on calendar to add events. Also the custom color theme settings is very confusing. The descriptions are hard to figure out exactly which part of the app you are trying to change color. The interface and appearance is not as nice as version 4. I hope all these can be improved. Really look forward to use improved version ASAP.
2 ★Update: Still needs work. Quick view in month calendar only allows the 1st week of month to display. Can't scroll to any other weeks, as it keeps snapping to the first week of every month. iOS version allows to view 2 weeks of the month in quick view, which is preferable, and scrolling to any other week. Not a polished product yet. No notifications. OP: Very sluggish behavior. Not getting notifications from task alarms. LOOKS nice in appearance, but functionality needs a lot of improvement.
2 ★I have been using PI for years and now I'm fully committed as I use the desktop version for iOS but the Android update is a huge problem in that no alarms are firing. This is a massive problem that has to be addressed. I sent support messages but haven't heard anything back. If you rely on task alarms be aware. Upate.....after the update sadly the alarm issue is NOT fixed.
2 ★Was a long time user of Informant 2015, but this is too glitchy. App randomly closes, does not display correctly on tablet, etc. Event / task preview pop-up displays, even though part of the screen is already reserved for that preview? Seems like there are aspects missing that were present in earlier version. Initially set up the pro with subscription, but canceled after having sync and display issues on both phone and tablet.
