Description

Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and newer versions support a built in SIP/VoIP (Voice over IP) functionality. This widget has two buttons: the left one gives you a shortcut to the SIP settings. The second one allows you to select how calls should be routed primarily: you can select whether all calls should be made via SIP by default, only Internet calls via SIP, or if you want to be asked before each call.

For Cyanogenmod-Devices, there's a quick settings tile available.

For Android 5 (Lollipop) devices and newer:
Google changed the SIP API, so the functionality has changed. The left button now redirects to call settings, it's one click from there to SIP settings. A direct link to SIP settings is currently not possible due to restrictions of Android 5, sorry. The right button (and also the quick settings tile) now switches whether all calls are made through SIP, or only ones going to a SIP address. Please set "Ask first" for "Make calls with" in "phone account settings", then this button will toggle between asking and making calls through cell phone network by default.

Please note that by default the built in SIP functionality on Android only works via Wifi on most devices! Furthermore, some ROMs of network providers (branded phones) disable the SIP functionality. If you can't find SIP settings in your phone's settings, this widget probably won't work correctly.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Simple and effective, great job!

5 ★Unfortunately now l can't get easy access to the ''Receive Incoming Calls'' Setting to connect my phone to my SIP provider. Therefore, even If I enable SIP calls by your widget, I can't make any call until l manually connect my phone to the SIP provider. You should either return the possibility to get to the setting or switch it on automatically.
4 ★Great widget for toggling IP calls! I would make only a few recommendations: 1) create a 1x1 widget to toggle statuses on each click, with a long press to access IP call settings instead of forcing the widget to be 2x1; 2) make a toggle to receive incoming SIP calls, too. Otherwise, it is perfect. Thank you!
5 ★This update is definitely an improvement over previous versions, because activing SIP via the widget was always 50/50...sometimes it would activate it successfully, but other times, using the widget would cause the settings to say "Account registration unsuccessful", whereas it would work 100% of the time doing it the long way. I appreciate the fact that the button is now a direct shortcut to the setting in question, but as a reviewer already mentioned, it would be good to leave the indicator on the button so that finding out whether SIP is on or off is as easy as taking a quick glance.
5 ★I email the developer because I couldn't' see the widget after installing it. He suggested rebooting the phone and it worked!
5 ★I've started using an SIP account for calls, but access to the settings are a little hidden away in Android. I need to toggle them often. This widget lets you toggle the settings directly from your home screen and does the job quickly and easily with no fuss. Good work!
5 ★This is exactly what I needed, very simple widget, does the job.
