Buku ini merupakan pelajaran dalam ilmu Fiqih merupakan mazhab Imam Syafi’i RA. Pelajarannya saya pilihkan agar dapat digunakan oleh pelajar sekolah atau pesantren islam di Indonesia. Buku ini saya bagi dalam empat juz, dan dalam penyusunannya saya berpedoman kepada kemampuan yang sesuai dengan alam negara Indonesia, juga mengingat apa yang menjadi kegemaran dan kekuatan akal pikiran para pelajar.
Saya panjatkan do’a kepada Allah SWT. Agar mentahkik (mengadakan) apa yang menjadi maksud saya tadi, sebab apa yang menjadi idaman saya tak lain hanya sumbangan kebaikan menurut apa yang dapat saya sampaikan, juga tiada yang saya harap dapat membimbing kecuali Allah SWT. Hanya kepadanya saya berserah diri dan kepadanya pula kita akan kembali.
