About CU Boulder App Beta APK
Description
Before we get too carried away I need to mention: THIS APP IS NOT FINISHED. I'm releasing it now because school is starting and I need to test some things. If you want a stable app, wait a few months; this release is for those who can tolerate bugs.Go to CU Boulder? Want an app that has your school's name on it?
Features:
- Week at a Glance schedule
- RTD bus times
- Campus Map
- Dinner Menus
- Bus routes
- Bus stop lists
This is the second of my "school" apps and is heavily based on my Purdue App. It's basically a collection of time-saving tools that I've made. The complete project has about 1,300 hours of work in it so you know it has to be good.
Here is the list of permissions. I apologize that some of them aren't used yet (the app isn't finished), but I want to leave them because adding permissions requires users to manually update the app.
Permissions:
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: This is for GPS on the map.
INTERNET: Pretty much every feature of this app uses the internet.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: This is for storing your schedule picture.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: I might get rid of this, it would be for auto-updating dinner menus
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: This is so the app knows when the internet is enabled.
WAKE_LOCK: I might get rid of this, it would be for auto-updating dinner menus
READ_LOGS: When you press the "Email me your problems" button, the app attaches an error log which helps tremendously with debugging your problem.
BILLING: This is how the disable ads system will work.
INSTALL_SHORTCUT: This is for the quick links homescreen shortcuts
DISABLE_KEYGUARD: This allows the bus-watcher to wake the phone up to notify you about a bus.
VIBRATE: This allows the bus-watcher to vibrate your phone.

Questions & Answers
Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.
