NO ADS! Works without internet access, only needed for graphing capabilities.
An extension of the popular Rothermel surface fire spread model with full graphing capability and multiple model runs for easier interpretation and calibration. This is the fire model used throughout the country for management and research needs. Bring it anywhere.
Become more familiar with the model fire management depends on. All the fire behavior prediction you receive on or off the fireline has this model at its core. A more informed and observant wildland firefighter is a better one.
Enter the standard inputs of slope, wind speed, fuel moistures, and fuel model in multiple formats.
All 53 vegetation full models are included even the fully dynamic models; the standard 13 along with the new Scott and Burgan 40 are here.
Version 1.1 Update: The fuel model description page is now live. Photos and parameters of all 53 standard fuel models are now available. Fixed a small grammatical error as well.
