Description
Die Abteilung Ringen gehört zum Magdeburger Sportverein 90 e.V.Die Sportart Ringen existiert in Magdeburg seit etwa 65 Jahren und hat eine große Tradition.
Die Abteilung Ringen ist mit rund 120 Mitgliedern eine der stärksten des Vereins und erreichte über viele Jahre ausgezeichnete sportliche Erfolge.
Die Ringer der Abteilung haben bisher jährlich Titel und Medaillen bei nationalen Meisterschaften und Bestenermittlungen erkämpft.
Bei den Landesmeisterschaften ist unser Verein seit mehreren Jahren einer der erfolgreichsten Verein des Landes Sachsen- Anhalt.
Das Aushängeschild der Abteilung ist die Männermannschaft. Sie kämpft erfolgreich in der Oberliga Nord- Ost und wurde in den Jahren 1990, 1991 und zwischen 1997 bis 2007 souveräner Oberligameister.
Damit konnte die Männermannschaft den Titel in der Oberliga Nord / Ost bereits 12-mal in Folge erringen.
Zwischenzeitlich kämpfte die Männermannschaft fünf Jahre in der 2. Bundesliga und belegte dort jährlich einen guten Mittelplatz.
