Il est homologué par le Ministère Français de l’Éducation Nationale par un arrêté du 11/07/1983, paru au Journal Officiel N° 190 du 18/08/1983.Membre du réseau des établissements partenaires de l’AEFE au Liban.
Le CLW reçoit des élèves de toutes confessions, garçons et filles, de la maternelle à la terminale. Il dispense un enseignement laïc et prépare aux deux baccalauréats libanais et français.
Depuis sa fondation, le CLW est un lieu d’apprentissage, de formation et de vie.
