La App de clasificación maya de suelos es una aplicación gratuita basada en la clasificación maya de suelo descrita por Bautista y Zinck (2010).Sus características principales son:
-Veintiún clases mayas de suelo se organizan a manera de clave tomando como modelo los grupos de suelo de la WRB.
-Es posible ver la clasificación de los suelos mayas a través de un menú intuitivo o por tabla de imágenes, de esta manera el usuario puede elegir libremente si desea leer la descripción de las características de cada suelo o solo ver su clave.
-Se incluyen las imágenes de los suelos de acuerdo con la clasificación maya y la clasificación WRB.
-Se identifica por medio del GPS la ubicación del usuario para asociarla con un grupo de suelo maya en el estado de Yucatán, México.
-Es posible visualizar el mapa de la clasificación maya de suelos como imagen o como polígonos en Google Maps.
-Se incluyen las referencias bibliográficas que sustentan la aplicación.
