5 ★Much like the original, Feral Interactive have completed an incredible port of the official expansion pack to Rome: Total War. This is the full game in all it's glory with nothing cut out or streamlined in a derogatory way, but with QoL improvements with usable touch controls and improved resolution art. Playing as Western Rome and maintaining the dying Empire wherever you may be is an incredible experience for me, just as I remember it on PC. True hardcore strategy for mobile. Recommended.
5 ★What an excellent port of an amazing game! Great UI, totally smooth battles, and amazing grand strategy! Extra factions including Romano British and the Slavs means there's even more content than the original! Only downside is that moving troops and custom formations can be a bit cumbersome on the touch screen, but it's not enough of a hindrance to stop you buying this amazing game!
4 ★Great game. Brings back old memories. Intuitive controls. A bit hard to grasp at first but an enjoyable experience once you get a hang of the ropes. I only have ONE ISSUE. I can open the Rome Shell but keyboard doesn't display so can't type anything in the rome shell. I'm an old man that needs cheats to complete my experience. Any solution for typing in Rome shell when keyboard doesn't popup?
2 ★The game runs fine, however while playing offline you can make progress & save and exist the game, but once you sign back online your saves will be from when you were last online, making the offline mode pointless. Very disappointing. A whole days worth of gaming is all gone because of this. Had to uninstall, there's no point playing a game you cannot progress on.
1 ★I was very much looking forward to this game, I've had no luck with the game, only getting as far as trying to let me in. I've contacted the support team, found them to be a huge let down, with minimal help. They may as well have said, switch it off and back on again! Not happy at all!!
4 ★Amazing recreation for people who played the original. However, I would say that the controls are a little hard to get used to and the campaign can be a little confusing. The controls also make the battle hard to fight and takes away some of the fun to the game. Apart from that it is a solid recreation and it exceeded all my expectations.
5 ★Purchased this today and already astonished yet again with the work Feral have put into this. A full port and beyond, with all factions playable, especially the Roman British faction which I genuinely cannot remember being able to play as on the PC original. Fantastic work getting this update on mobile along with Rome Total War and very much looking forward to Alexander and Medieval 2, hopefully also making an arrival to Android in future. Note: Unit size change in "more options", in game.
1 ★I use to enjoy playing this, I've had it installed for a while and I've tried to start playing it again However I cant, after pressing install it takes about an hour to get to 100%, after which it just seems to restart at 0%, I'm not sure why it seems to take an hour either to reach 100% as with my download speed it should take no longer than a couple of minutes.
5 ★I played all the Rome total war games when they first came out on PC 20 years ago. They were my favorite war game to play then and now they are again. Almost all of the functionality that was available on the PC versions are available on the mobile apps and I am hooked again. Thank you so much to the developers that took the time and coverted these all time favorites over so that I may enjoy them again!
4 ★a couple of years ago this game and rome total war were my favorite games in pc,imagine my suprise when i saw them in the appstore i went nuts and bought them without a second tought and was impressed because it was an almost perfect port.....the only drawbacks are that is hard to make your units face in the direction you need them to and i miss the voice over of the female advisor
2 ★Has very strong possibilities, but... I've started multiple times, and the controls are ruining my gameplay. If I'm not sure what to do and click on something it ends up immediately causing an action I don't want because there's no confirmation first. The game dynamics are also very strange. I can control what happens with building, recruiting and so on in the settlement that exists when the game begins. So, it's my settlement right? Well, apparently not since I can accidently attack it.
3 ★The menu and controls are confusing at first. I don't like pausing every 2 seconds during battles.
