Description
The IDA Tournaments app offers you a chance to keep up to date with all of the tournaments and events IDA Tournaments will be hosting during the upcoming months/years. With its live schedule you can keep track of when they'll be taking place and its inclusive push notification feature there is no chance you'll forget when the tournaments are.IDA Tournaments is led by Daniel Woolston, who is currently an academy coach at Middlesbrough FC. He also has experience working for Sunderland AFC and Darlington FC. Daniel coaches for Middlesbrough FC Academy working with the Under 11's age group.
Our first tournaments took place in August 2018. These were a great success in which some of the strongest academies and grassroots teams were able to come up against each other. The 2018 tournaments took place in Kirkby Malzeard (a small village in North Yorkshire). We are expanding the tournament for 2019 and will be using the £20m sporting complex at Queen Ethelberga's College, near York.
The 2018 tournament had academy teams from Manchester City, Middlesbrough FC, Newcastle United, Sunderland AFC, Leeds United,
Stoke City, Burnley FC, Preston North End, Grimsby Town, Doncaster Rovers & Hartlepool United.
So far for 2019, we already have confirmed attendance from the following academies; Middlesbrough FC, Sunderland AFC, Leeds United, Hull City FC, Doncaster Rovers, Peterborough United, Grimsby Town & Aldershot Town. There will be many more teams to announce over the next couple of months, with the hope of also attracting overseas teams!
