Description
Scan for and recover deleted files from memory cards and internal storage on rooted devices.The app uses rewarded video ads - restoration of any discovered file or data is completely free of charge. You can still buy the unlocker to remove all ads and enable background scanning.
Without root access, Undeleter can only scan app caches for images.
App caches can contain images that would not otherwise be discoverable: you may find photos that were shared with you on social media but you never opened, or lower quality copies of images you have now or have deleted in the past. They may also contain images that have been preloaded by your browser or other apps on your device - even images of people you don't know. They can be filtered out using "Hide extant files".
Deep scan heuristically scans for and recovers the following types of files: BMP, JPEG/JPG, PNG, MNG, JNG, GIF, MP4, AVI, MKV, MP3, OGG, OGM, WAV, FLAC, AMR, MP4A, PDF, SXD, SXI, SXC, SXW, ODT, ODG, ODS, ODP, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, ZIP, JAR, APK, EPUB.
Data scanning is available for a select number of apps. Data will be recovered in the form of HTML files for WhatsApp and Viber, as third-party catalogs cannot be merged.
Shred/ secure delete - files found on free disk areas can be erased permanently in bulk using the Shred function. You can also use the system-wide Share menu to securely erase files directly through any other app, for example by opening the gallery, selecting a number of images, pressing the Share button and selecting Secure delete.
Permissions - all of these are necessary for various functions, this is not a time wasting game, its an app for adults that was written from the ground up to restore deleted data. There's no catch, no trick. Read the instructions, Google the terms if you don't understand them. You will get what you need if you pay attention to what you're doing.

CONTACTS - needed for Google Drive and Dropbox upload, used to discover connected accounts
LOCATION - for ads, I don't use Admob any more, which would extrapolate your location without your permission regardless

3 ★Why is it that PNG files are all pixelated for me? I wouldn't mind paying to recover my old pictures but the ones I want to recover are all pixelated and in thumbnail size. Any help with this from the developers would be appreciated. If I can't get my pictures in full size I'm afraid I'll br giving this app one star as it didn't help me recover what I needed.
1 ★I installed the app and made a recovery scan, there were hundreds of advertisement, at one stage there was an advertisement about another undeleter app so finally I uninstalled this app and shifted to the another one. So, I am giving the app one star for the app digging its own graveyard by displaying infinity advertisements ! To Mr. Farhbot's Reply: Dear Farhbot, I understand the effort you have put into this app and about the minimum wages you are talking about. I am a developer myself and I believe lesser wage or revenue generation or whatever the reason is should not interfere with user experience. As a user I like to tell you infinity advertisement doesn't make me happy. Have a good day.

1 ★Not enough control over the app. Can't specify what file types you are searching for. Can't specify whether to look on phone or SD card. Scans for an hour, shows a ton of results but user cant be sure of what was found. Just a really limited poorly thought out app. I'm sure it is perfect for one specific person with a very situation. Maybe some day that person will be lucky enough to stumble into this app and find it useful
5 ★It is perfect and complete work according to its name (most of file i find). Also it give me information about different format extentions use in android. But i have lost my spread sheet (.sxc) format and can't find on search (internal storage). It is request its developer, tell me how i search my file on sd card. EXCELLENT EFFORT. 2 ★Would not let me choose SD card or file types. App would run to ~30% and crash. After 4th crash un-installed. -_- I'm Using Android 10 phone.
3 ★It said, "no root mode" and that it could only restore images. It g no instructions as to how to fix the root mode problem. If the developer responds to this comment I'll raise the review regardless of the outcome, but otherwise I'll have to uninstall it. Update: I ONLY have one more star as a promise. The app should show how to root your phone or at least link a video not to rush your phone with someone online teaching how to root incorrectly. Especially since rooting is so needed.
2 ★This app, MIGHT BE PERFECT .... BUT, it wants to access my phone number for the developer's advertisers and I DO NOT Need anymore RoboCalls, than I already get ! At least they ARE TRUTHFUL About it ! The one file that I lost, is not worth more Calls, Texts & Emails from people, trying to sell me something that I do not need or want!
1 ★Pixel XL Marlin October update Android 9.0 rooted. Paid for full app. Scan did not find one single file. Not a photo not a video... Absolutely nothing. Several other free applications found several files to recover. I'm not a computer idiot... I did everything correctly, read hints, etc. Disappointed. Went to the community since the developer does not provide support... Only to find that the community did not exist. I'll be analyzing this APK to determine its authenticity. Meanwhile I'm going to stop payment on my credit card... Report this to Google and make this con artis t life a living hell
2 ★To the developer, you responded to my last review stating that the issue I described had been fixed. this is not the case. Can I please get a refund for the money that was needlessly spent on your app that no longer functions like it once did? I feel like a sucker for spending money in the hopes the issue would go away. I know its just $5 but that's enough money to buy 2 or 3 days worth of gas in my car, or a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread. I hope this gets resolved. Thank you.
3 ★I attempted to use it on a rooted device running Android 4.4.2 (using KingoRoot). The app is installed, but it does not load when I tap on it. I do not receive a prompt to grant root access as shown in the video. This may have something to do with necessity of whitelisting the app. However, the instructions given by the developer elsewhere in these reviews for whitelisting an app do not apply to Android 4.4.2. There is no "Device Care" under Settings.
3 ★Great app, as it really find back all of my deleted file. Problem is I need to root my phone to fully recover them, which I'm not planning right now... Maybe I'll use it in the future
