Schutzranzenis the digital warning vest for more safety and visibility in road traffic. In addition to that, children can send an emergency message to trusted persons, which also transfers information on their location. The app also sends an automatic „Save arrival“ message to parents for defined locations, e.g. school or home.
As parents, you can now lay back and relax, because you always stay up to date weather your children have arrived at their destination and know that, in emergency, they can send you their position. The most important functions of the Schutzranzen app for children:
• Emergency button
Your child can send you an SOS message by clicking a button. So you can obtain your child's position data in the shortest possible time and clarify the situation quickly and effectively.
• Digital warning vest
By constantly exchanging position data anonymously with the Schutzranzen Cloud, the position of your child is constantly compared with the position of approaching cars (which have the app installed as well). This ensures maximum protection in road traffic.
• Highest data security
Your child's position information is anonymous and untraceable. Only parents receive secured and encrypted personalized position data via the parents app.
• Protection against misuse
Drivers do not receive the exact location of the child, but only the approximate sector with one or more children
• Battery level warning
Parents receive a message when the child's smartphone indicates a critical battery level.

The technology behind the Schutzranzen app
The child app sends its position to the Schutzranzen Server, where the position data is obscured by activating sectors. This anonymous and disguised information is provided to drivers in the driver app. In this process, no data from the child app is permanently saved.
The driver app also sends its position to the server. When entering an activated sector, the driver is warned.
Warning: The continuous use of GPS in the background can shorten battery life.

The Schutzranzen applications were changed in accordance with requirements of the German Data Protection Office.- No maps are shown in the main screens.
- The apps require TLS 1.2, and thus only work for Android version 5.0 or higher.
