5 ★Loving it so far! Best recording app I have used so far, much better than the much touted but highly temperamental Cinema FV-5 which has compatibility issues depending of which mobile youre using and have to pay for. This has all the same options like manual settings, doesnt pixelate as much when you zoom, can record from the front camera as well and most importantly is FREE! Great stuff, loving it so far!

Lightyears ahead of most paid similar apps. A precious gem in the ads-pushing heap of rubble, namely: The Play Store. Update: Im even using it professionally. Five - I said FIVE - thumbs up.
5 ★Perfect Id like to see the shutter timer implemented but I love the simplicity, the new features, and that fact that it shows the true view of the photos on the capture screen. Thats a huge plus for me. Cant wait to see the advances with them being able to push updates right from the play store. Edit: They implemented the timer feature and added a fisheye panorama!
5 ★Best camera for control freaks has more options that I needed but didnt know initially! great job. and its open source and free. well done! suggestion to do slider or some control for manual focus rather than touch an area. reason: more control! bonus points for zoom box while manual focusing with slider. I take videos of football action behind a fence so I want to focus behind the fence. hard to do with current manual touch focus
5 ★Excellent camera app specially for shooting videos with good audio quality! Actually I create videos for you tube and initially I had a problem with audio quality in my created videos as most of my viewers use to complained about the audio quality because I used no external mic for audio recording. Then I bought an external mic for audio recording but when used the external mic I found no improvement in the audio quality so far. Later on I came to know that the lapel mic bought by me was compatible with iPhones only but not with any Android device and I had an Android phone for making video. Fortunately I tried the open camera app where I found an option for external mic in the settings. I selected external mic option in settings of the app and tried to shoot an experimental video and found that the external mic was working well so since then I have been using this app as my favourite app for making videos and now my videos have tremendous audio quality!!!!!
5 ★First off..I have installed on my phone(LG g6) no less than 5, paid for camera apps none of them perform the way open camera does. And that includes the stock camera app. The ability to turn off noise reduction and with no artificial sharpening produces a superb image. There are a couple of items that would be great. 1-the ability to record in stereo.2-the ability to record video in true 4k By the way I installed your donation app...you deserve it. Thanks
5 ★Works so much better than the native camera software. My phone has a decent camera, but the photos were always blurry because the software was slow with no adjustability, and I cant keep the camera still enough to make up for it. The programming in this app allows me to make adjustments and I havent had a blurry photo yet with it.
5 ★Edit: after writing this review, I double checked to see if the storage nsituation has changed, and under more camera controls menu theres: nstorage access framework and there I could navigate to the SD card and ncreate a folder, and save photos and video there! Well done! 5 stars now! nOld review: On paper I love this app. In reality, I never ever use it nbecause it doesnt save to the SD card, but my stock camera does, so I use nthat one over this.
5 ★I think it is very good, much better the stock app that came with tje Samsung J2 Android. But remapping the photo / vid storage, off the phone memory, to the SD card is needlessly difficult. That has to be rethought. In facy given the limitations of the phone memory, vs the huge size of SD cards, its imperative to be able to select the default save too directory.

5 ★Guys. Look. I wholeheartedly support you and everything Google does. Its why Ive been so invested on the Google hype train for years. But look, as of recent the app has a really annoying bug where it crashes upon opening. Ive already disabled the app via settings and update it again to make sure it works, and it does. But then it proceeds to crash again. The camera is what makes the Pixel/Pixel 2 great and stand out amongst the other competition, but if your default camera app keeps on crashing, I find myself wanting to go to third party apps to make sure it works. Google. Please get your game together and fix the bug. Once its fixed Ill give it a 5*, but for the time being this bug needs to be fixed.
5 ★One of the most configurable camera apps on the market, lets you set the ISO & the focus mode, lock the focus, stamp the photo with date/time or custom text, alter the filename prefix & save location... nothing silly like Andy Warhol filters or kaleidoscope effects here -- just good, functional camera. Unfortunately, even with a new phone, youre still limited by the hardware (not this devs fault of course -- Samsung, take a page from HTC on cameras!)
