Sie bietet eine spannende und emotionale Zeitreise von der Antike bis zur Moderne, bei der unvergessene Highlights, herausragende Sportler, triumphale Siege, aber auch bittere Niederlagen hautnah erlebt werden können.Die App bietet alle Informationen für den Besuch - von Öffnungszeiten über die Anfahrt und Eintrittspreise bis zu aktuellen Sonderausstellungen und Veranstaltungen.

Wie funktioniert die App
Die App basiert auf der IBeacon-Technologie. Ein IBeacon ist ein kleiner Bluetooth-Funksender, der sich automatisch mit dem Smartphone verbindet. In der Ausstellung befinden sich insgesamt 60 IBeacons, kommst Du in die Nähe eines IBeacons, löst dieser selbstständig neue Inhalte in der App aus. Auf einer Übersichtskarte sind alle Standorte der IBeacons festgehalten, aber auch markante Aufkleber machen auf die einzelnen Stationen aufmerksam.
Quiz
Am Ende des Rundgangs besteht die Möglichkeit eine Challenge zu absolvieren. Die Herausforderung besteht darin, acht Objekte in der Dauerausstellung zu finden. Auch hier kommt der IBeacon zum Einsatz.
Mit Kopfhörern ins Museum
Die Nutzung der App über den Gerätelautsprecher des Smartphones ist eingeschränkt (reduzierte Lautstärke), daher werden Kopfhörer benötigt. Sofern keine eigenen Kopfhörer mitgeführt werden, besteht die Möglichkeit, sie an der Museumskasse für 1,00 € zu erwerben.
