Description

With RideData you can record GPS and sensor data while you ride. From the recorded data you can see GPS data, what your wind chill was, compare gear ratios and more!

The RideData app works best if using an authorized version downloaded from Google Play and once recording navigative back to your home screen and turn the screen off. Using your phone while your ride a motorcycle is dangerous and by using this app you agree not to use it within reach while operating a vehicle.

With the RideData.net app you can record data while you ride from your phone's sensors or from an optional external IMU or gravity sensor accelerometer / gyroscope for higher accuracy than your phone and a more detailed look into your ride.

The wind chill uses weather data and your speed to estimate the actual wind chill you were feeling while you were riding. The gear ratio calculator lets you estimate RPMs with different gear ratios based on your GPS tracks and riding style so you can get an idea of what gears to choose.

Upgrade your bike to have software capable sensors instead of upgrading to the newest models from the factory. Quantify your ride and check out where you went on charts and graphs.

View your horsepower calculations based on 1/8th mile times and vehicle weight.

Check out what the wind chill temperature was while you were riding using weather and GPS data.

Upload your rides to the desktop companion app for full screen viewing!

RideData is the easiest way to record data while you ride. Visit RideData.net for help getting started with an external IMU, help with the app and to access the desktop app.

Motorcycle race teams have used data acquisition software and hardware for years to see how they ride and learn from it. While the app doesn't require one to work, with the popularity and low price of the Arduino it has never been easier to use an IMU to record data. Together with the app you can collect data like how hard you lean and accelerate! It doesn't tell you the lean "angle" it graphs your turning characteristics so you get insight into how smooth or choppy you ride.

It works for high performance vehicles with adjustable suspensions too, with data from your car or truck's ride qualities you can dial in your suspension settings with the benefit of data! An Arduino based IMU is used instead of your phone's internal sensor so you can get better data data from your vehicle not just your phone.

If you don't have an Arduino or compatible IMU yet, using just your phone it's still a speedometer, records speed and it generates a horsepower estimate based on your vehicle's weight and driving style.

It works in the background of your phone after you start recording because you should never use your phone while you drive so it stays out of the way. Look at the data on the website too, details inside!

RideData records data from an Arduino Uno with bluetooth and an IMU so you can record gravity data directly from your bike! Export and view it on the web or in the app.

I'm an independent app developer, and some Samsung phones have been known to not work great with this app, under certain conditions. I'm working on the issue on my end, thanks for understanding!

Please make sure your Samsung phone doesn't have a recall.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★I use this app everytime I ride and it works great! I start recording and leave the app running in the background with the screen off. There's weather data and a gear calculator. I recommend it to adventure riders, sport bikers, cruisers you'll find some use for it.
1 ★Love the idea, the interfaces is not at all bad, but unfortunately it simply doesn't work on my phone. It never records any data and if you leave it running too long then the phone reboots. I would love this to work especially with the Arduino IMU idea, but the basic app doesn't work enough for me to bother building up the IMU. A real shame as it is a great idea.
