Description
Discover the world of seamarks and lighthouses in augmented reality or on a map !Point your device towards a lighthouse, beacon, buoy or any other navigational aid to get its name, characteristics, distance and bearing.
In simulation mode you can relocate and search the seamarks and lighthouse directory for the seashores of many european countries and USA.
The app does not require a network connection to display the semarks and coast line. The maps and weather data however require a mobile network connection. Marks data are derived from the OpenSeaMap project.
Please note that only a GPS location coupled with a device with a gyroscope can achieve a high accuracy for seamark positionning. The accuracy with a mobile network location or with a device without a gyroscope is insufficient to provide an accurate augmented reality view. In manual mode the app is an accurate hand-bearing compass.
