3 ★Great game if you know and are prepared to spend a lot of money. Graphics are excellent and game play is good. However, rewards are very small compared to what you will need for upgrades. Game support is minimal, and that goes so far as trying to figure out where to get rss and other items for creating weapons and armour. Much is not available to find within the game so you will need to buy in order to be competitive.
2 ★It's not a terrible game until you get to about level 15. It starts to take days to collect the resources to upgrade things and you can lose most of it at the whim of anyone a few levels above you. There's also no shield after getting attacked, so you can literally lose everything that isn't in the storehouse and by this point, it only stores a small fraction of what you need. The game has some decent game mechanics, but ultimately, it punishes anyone that isn't willing to invest real money.
2 ★I've only played through the (forced) tutorial so far, so my opinion is primarily based on that. The tutorial was forced, rushed, chaotic, and incomprehensible. The ONLY thing I remember from it (only minutes later) is a since of nausea from everything moving so much. On top of all that, I've of the tutorial quest items is to join an alliance, and you can't go forward without doing that. That requires you to either get lucky enough to find an open alliance, or to WAIT for approval.
3 ★Like most mobile RTS games, this is a pay-to-win game that definelty requires money to get close to the top. I will say though that it does have excellent graphics and feels smoother than other games in its genre. There are different ways to become powerful, or different areas to be powerful in, which not as many similar games have. Unfortunatley, it seems with every update, KOA becomes more money hungry and their updates become more pointless, like just a refurbishment that makes it more confusing and you have to learn where everything is again. It also takes a lot of time out of your day but not all at once, because you have to get on to collect resouces, attack or defend, deal with allinaces, etc. That is not necessarily the developers fault, this is just the way the game and others like it are. Short version: If you have money, this is a good game. It's probably one of the best in the genre. But don't get if youre looking for a casual, free or cheap game.
2 ★I try contacting the creators about problems. Can't get a hold of them. I try to collect stuff as it says I can collect it. However, doesn't let me. I bought things and never got the items I purchased as well. Network problem when you click on missions or ready soldiers. Can log in and lost power even when I am shielded. (No attacks) I would rate as a one but the graphics and game concept is good.
2 ★I've played this for a couple of months now. The gear is nearly impossible to get unless you pay hundreds of dollars for it. It is a fun social game. Unless you pay to play you just don't advance. Events aren't worth participating in. For example, honor pass gives 4 keys if you spend $15. Then you have to buy keys. The more expensive the key pack the more you pay per key which is very backwards. No way to shut off loud speakers across kingdoms. Lots of things cluttering the screen.
3 ★Misleading but fun. None of the ads or even the "screenshots" & "gameplay" on the actual dl page are an accurate representation of the game. The game is fun tho & there are tons of things to keep you busy while you upgrade ur buildings & armies but you'll still be waiting around more than actually playing I guess. You can definitely play for free if you do all the quests in the day which is pretty simple to do, there's a ton! The game is fun I just wish they didnt mislead you with bs gameplay...
3 ★I love playing this game, granted I've been playing for roughly a year now. However there are a lot of flaws with the game that make it difficult and annoying! 1: KoA is way to much of a pay to play game which means that its difficult to get good at the game unless you are willing to spend real currency. 2:The tips suck! Whenever one gets tips or advice from someone ingame it almost never helps, or they don't respond. Most of the information given is grind for a year or pay today!
1 ★The advertising for this game is entirely unrepresentative of the actual game. The ads would have you believe this is a third-person, age-of-empires-esque castle-building game when it is actually just another time-management, pay-to-win, resource-gathering game. Good art, above-average interface design, not a unique thought in it's head. If not for the horrendously misleading advertising I'd probably rate this game more highly.
1 ★Edit: hahahahaha no. Still can't explore because the monsters just won't attack and neither will my spirit. I'm just gonna hit lvl 15 and wait for my inbox dollars rewards. Bye. My favorite part of the game is exploring the Labyrinth. Ever since the second update I've installed every time I encounter a monster in the labyrinth it just sits there doing nothing, not even moving. I can't make progress, only go back through the lower levels which isn't useful at ALL for actually gaining power.
3 ★The game itself is good, but i was lured to it by ads that did not portray how you actually play the game. I wanted a game where you start as a low-level guy clearing forests and building my kingdom from the ground up (note, this was what was shown in ads. A guy clearing trees and rocks and building structures) but what i got was "surprise, none of that was actually gameplay and everything is already built for you." I didnt even have to earn the dragon by quests Game was made well but not for me.
1 ★It's a money grab, designed for people who can play all throughout the day at the drop of a hat. Designed so that low level people stay low level. Extremely frustrating and impossible to catch up and play with your team if you miss any major events. Not inclusive or fun if you are an adult with higher priorities and just want to play regularly and casually.
