How to install Viking Monitor APK on Android phone or tablet?

3 ★App works once you go thru several rounds of connection attempts. Took me about 2.5 hours over 2 days. I've successfully connected other devices to my 2.4 band connection in a snap. So I don't think the issue was with my wifi. Also it only send email notifications now. Very odd and antiquated. But it works well enough to open and close the gate.

1 ★It works, but has a rather anemic set of features do managing things like security... Which you'd think would be quite important in a system that can open gates. Oh and when you ask for support on their site: zippo.

3 ★EDIT... Please fix Notifications compatibility with Android 13 Update. As of now, notifications from the Viking Monitor app are not allowed. No longer can gate operator functions be monitored by notifications or alerts. As of 6/2/2024 App Notifications still not fixed!

1 ★UPDATING: I guess the lack of notifications doesn't matter to the app developer. No fix or improvement. Still disappointed. 🤬 When I installed this a year ago, the app would push out a notification when my gate opened or closed. About 3 months ago, it stopped sending notifications. When I check the app under my notifications, it now says that it does not send them. Very disappointed in this change.

3 ★Needs an update desperately. Works until it doesn't, the GUI is old and buttons are not responsive, and no new features in years.

4 ★App works well. Would like the ability to trigger a notification at certain times based on the gate status. Example: At 10PM, send notification if gate is left open.

3 ★The app works and controls the new gate pretty good. Issues below: 1 - Equipment uses VERY old legacy wifi that ONLY works on 2.4 Ghz. What this means is if you have any modern wifi equipment (all use dual band or more) you will have extreme trouble getting the app to connect/function at all. You MUST separate the 2.4 band or it won't work, period. 2 - No integration with Google Home or Alexa. Not being able to use my voice or to automate the gate by crossing a geofence is ridiculous.

1 ★None of the codes you have been sending me work. I had you send me a dozen and it keeps saying wrong code. I got shut out because I requested too many and I waited for the time to restore ask for another code and rhe same access denied comes up. Horrible.!!!!!

4 ★Seems to work again. Developer quickly fixed the android 12 issues.
