Description

This App controls Blackmagic Design ATEM™ switchers from your Android device.

Supported devices: ATEM Television Studio, ATEM 1 M/E, ATEM 2 M/E and Production Studio 4K.

Requirements: Minimum software version 4.2 (Firmware 2.12)

Features:

All buttons are fully configurable with a long press:
- phones: 14 buttons, 21 buttons optional on high resolution devices
- tablets smaller than 10": 21 buttons, 28 buttons optional on high resolution devices
- tablets with 10" and more: 40 buttons

inputs: Every input can be mapped to a button showing its current state (preview, program or not used).

auxiliary outputs: Every available input can be assigned to an auxiliary output.

transition control: Transition styles MIX, DIP, WIPE, STING and DVE can be selected.

upstream key control: Selection of upstream on air and on next transition.

downstream key control: Selection of downstream on air, tie and auto transition.

media player control: Full control over still & clip selection and media player operation

audio tally: Device says "Cam1 on preview", "Cam1 on air" or "Cam1 off", depending on the tally state.

Some of these features are available only in the pro version that can be purchased through the App.

METAControl requests these permissions:

'full network access' is needed to communicate with the switcher via network.
'view network connections' is needed to find out if the device is currently connected to any network.
'modify or delete the contents of your USB storage' is currently unused but will provide a way to store, import and export settings and macros.
'modify system settings' is being used to control the WiFi power saving function. In order to properly receive UDP packets in real time which is necessary for the ATEM protocol.
'prevent device from sleeping' allows the App to keep the screen on.
'control vibration' enables haptic feedback when touching buttons on the screen.

This App does NOT access, store nor transmit any personal information. This App does NOT make use of any advertisement frameworks nor user trackers.

The developer of this App is not related to Blackmagic Design. This App is a spare time project and comes without any warranty. If you want to take part in beta testing please
register for the beta program.

How to install METAControl APK on Android phone or tablet?

Download METAControl APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

Update Phone Settings

Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK

Go to Downloads

Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (de.baycom.atemcontrol-v0.999-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).

5 ★*edit in response to Dev: I realise now that the Android application is working fine and that the error was on my part. I was given a report from my team that it wasn't working since the update and realised they were using an Apple product (which actually has stopped working since the most recent iOS update) after submitting the report. So this app works perfectly for Android (score one for us!) and the devs are very quick to respond if you have issues. Galaxy Note 2 user.

1 ★I bought the pro version for auxiliary outputs control and it doesn`t work (it says in the latest description that it is fixed, but it isn`t). No option of refund. Very fustrating!

1 ★The app connected OK to my ATEM Television Studio at first. I switched cams a couple times from the app, then both the computer ATEM Software Control and the app disconnected for no apparent reason. UPDATE: I was able to reconnect to the TVS only after giving it a power cycle. Still, the app does not work consistently and randomly disconnects the computer from the TVS. I have not gotten the "Auto" button or the slider on the app to work (The "Cut" button works only sometimes; usually it causes it to lock up). All software is up-to-date (I recently updated Software Control to version 6.4), so I don't know what the problem is. Major disappointment.

3 ★Ever since we updated our ATEM M/E 2 switcher to 6.3, I have not been able to control the auxiliary outputs from this app. I use this a lot when I am on stage to assign on stage cameras to a movable display that we have on stage, which gets fed by one of the auxiliaries. But the loss of this functionality us really annoying, but the macros that came with the update are indispensable. An update that integrates macro control from this app would be more than phenomenal! Update to material design would be a +!

2 ★Good design and I'd buy Pro but it doesn't work on any of my Android 6.0 devices. Once a fix is released I'll change my review.

1 ★Was amazing until updated firmware. Not it will not connect to the switcher. I was totally dependant on this app! I paid for it...
