5 ★This app is brilliant, I teach my students how to use it. You can also use it for hip rafters, just make sure you get the span right, it will be different from the common rafter span. Drop a plumb line from the centre of the ridge and measure to the corner of the wall plate, this is your span for the hip. Keep the pitch or rise the same and measurement K the same to keep it in line with the others. Hope this helps.

5 ★Great app, first time I tried it rafters were perfect. Easy to use and saved a lot of time. I got the paid version so l could use inches and feet. Well worth the couple dollars.

1 ★Birds mouth cut is way off. Far too deep for a 2x6. Please refund purchase price and the 5 dollar 2x6 your app destroyed

3 ★This has an Interesting interface. and the paid version accepts feet, inches and fraction of inches. It a bit awkward to save the results. You have to do a screen capture to the gallary and then upload the galleray image to a printer. The real deal breaker for me is the calculation for the location of the birds mouth was wrong. I am building a noncommon shed roof from wall to a ledger and the rafter cuts specified clearly dont work. I am saying it is "just okay" because if the trig/math gets corrected i think this could be a very useful application.

5 ★It IS 100 % accurate.the bird's beak works out perfectly, but I don'tactually do it the way the photo shows you already know the depth of thebird beak because you had to put it in .set your square up for that andmark on plum Cup where it crosses easy peasy

5 ★I have the paid version and you put in all the numbers you can collect from your tape measure and it gives you a picture of the side of your piece of wood and deals with all the other calculations behind the scenes so you don't have to it is great
