A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★re: Paul G , it started working again after 24 hours. A network error/change from BBC I assume. Works very nicely with the Shield remote. Now, Nvidia, if you'd make a compatible version of other British TV apps (All 4 / ITV Player etc) it would be wonderful since the app makers themselves seem unwilling to add Android TV compatibility!
2 ★It doesn't work anymore, iplayer says its not supported on the shield tv. What's going on! I'm in the UK but the app opens and says it's not supporting anymore. Help us please...
1 ★Rubbish, it doesn't even have an HD option... And whilst we're at it, the Shield is lacking all the major catch up apps, e.g. All4, ItvPlayer, Demand5 (My5) etc, Nvidia Shield TV the best streaming box? I don't think so.
4 ★This used to be utter garbage. But the BBC seem to of changed to an adaptive algorithm so now the quality you get is good. I haven't done a true A B test but it is at least 90% of the quality the samsung tv does nativley. I was only watching cartoons. IE the really negative reviews are out of date (they were bang on at the time though)
1 ★this app keep disappearing from my home screen and i have to uninstall and reinstall the app every time i want to use it on my nvidia shield tv 6.0. does anyone have a sugestion on how to lock it on the home screen? i would be much appreciate if nvidia reply.
1 ★The blacks are light grey, what's going on?! The user interface has dark, near black elements, however video playback shows things that should be black as light grey! The shield tv device shows true blacks properly on every other app, so I know my 4K OLED is not set up incorrectly. I have maybe more than 10 other bbc iplayer programs that don't have this problem.
1 ★Is there any way to remove this thing? I tried disabling it but the launch icons remain on the home screen. I don't pay for a TV license so ideally I don't want this thing which I never use visible on my screen in case TV licensing come round and try to fine me for having it...
3 ★Glad to have it available.. but 1080p please. Frame rate switching would be helpful too, as pretty much all the BBC output will be 50/25fps and it doesn't look good when the Shield is outputting 60fps.
1 ★Very unreliable and temperamental. Makes the box pretty useless without getting onto iPlayer
