How to install RadarOmega APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download RadarOmega APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.radarx.stormmapping.stormmapping-v5.4-ApkClean.apk)
- Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

Questions & Answers
Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

2 ★Downloaded this last night and it worked very well. Opened it up this afternoon and no radar data loads. The severe weather watches/warnings show up, but that's it. The selected radar only says "Loading" and has been that way over 10 min. Closed and reopened the app, put phone in airplane mode to reset the data connection, restarted phone, and still shows "Loading". Going to give it a little but before uninstalling and going to RadarScope.
1 ★Had this app for about 2 weeks. Did a lot of research between this and RadarScope and felt this was the best value and paid full price. Today the app got updated and was excited to see what improvements they made. Was shocked to see they removed split view and location markers I had already paid for and now make you pay for them (again) through an ongoing subscription. Very deceptive and dishonest. Buyer beware - what you think is included today may be removed and you'll have to pay more.
1 ★Doesn't work anymore. I bought to try and replace Pykl3. Early on, it was rough and unpolished, but did what I needed by giving me the info I was looking for. But now, after some updates, and the release of the new subscription service, I can't even pull up base reflectivity. I feel baited, as I am just a simple weather nerd, and I am not willing to pay subscription fees just for the most basic of radar data. Perhaps a professional could justify the fees, but now I regret buying in years ago over other options.
5 ★While I'm still learning the in's & out's of the app, so far, it's been fantastic. The new user guide that LD has created makes the vast feature set much more understandable to the casual weather geek like myself. Great work, LD!! I'm looking forward to future updates to the app and to the user guide. Now if we could only get some 'exciting' weather here in Lovely Wichita, KS.... Great work, RadarOmega Team!!
1 ★It's OK at best. Menu and graphics look like a 5 year old got a new set of cranes, and it's a bit bulky. Like that they give you lightning and rotation information (others charge for lightning and no rotation), but lack of time stamp on radar is horrible, -2 stars just for that. Doesn't scale well with a 7" tablet in landscape. What a reply from the developer! "We don't want you as a user". You guys are a piece of work.
4 ★Edited review 2/19/19: up to 4 stars now. The constant updates are excellent. the ability to "full screen" the radar is great. I'm not fully certain of the advantage of the Storm Mapper products yet, so hopefully that is cleared up in future releases. The biggest issue still is performance. On my LG V20, the radar constantly lags. This radar continues to drop frames, freeze, or get stuck in a "downloading" dialogue box. Is my phone too old for your product?
4 ★Very nice app and radar products, and I'm really excited to see how it grows and improves over time. However, it would be nice if the app remembered the GPS setting rather than defaulting to on. Also it would be nice to have more detailed info when a storm initial point is tapped, especially on mesos and TVS. Finally, the font you use is not good - it's way too big and clunky. Overall, I am loving this app!
2 ★Possibly good for what is it created for, but very slow loading and laggy for me moving around the map. Tornadoes and Flash Flooding plenty in my area, but after a day of use playing around with the app... It is far to slow loading for use... Not sure how to request a refund, but would like one if possible. Not quite what I was hoping for due to slow load times....
4 ★I use several radar apps. I like this one very much. What is particularly excellent is the response if you have a problem. My menu disappeared after the most recent update. I got an email (with screen shots) and a fix one day after reporting that. Really good work from Lilly. Get this app... you'll use it and like it. 4 stars leaves room for improvement. If that's possible.
2 ★Thought this was the perfect radar app. However, right now there is a TORNADO on the ground less than 20 miles from our home. Load this app and there's zero radar data loading. Edit: I changed to a different tower and radar data loaded slowly. This is DFW area, TX. Loaded the app multiple times with no radar data loading, so I had to switch over to other weather apps to see the severe weather. I'm on Verizon and all other weather apps are loading radar data instantly.
3 ★As a professional meteorologist (NWS), I am not overly impressed with this app. The satellite imagery (trying out the Gamma subscription) is very pixilated and hard to use. The data seems to be a least one volume scan behind Radarscope and even WeatherTap. The one thing that I do like is the plots of Special Weather Statements (SPS's.). As others have said, this has the potential to be a really good radar app, but definitely needs to cleaning up!
5 ★Easy to use interface with NEXRAD 2 access. I had to find a replacement for PYKL3 Radar when it stopped working. This is not currently as robust as PYKL3 was but they are constantly adding features. Somehow they have managed to add features while maintaining an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. I really like being able to make a 1 time payment and not have to subscribe to a service such as radar scope. I think RadarOmega is better than Radar Scope and is certainly worth the cost of admission!
