Description

Requires ROOT and at least Android 4.2 (or 4.3 to support overscan)

This tool gives you the ability to change your screen resolution, density (DPI) and overscan.
Why do I need to change my resolution?

# HDMI / TV-OUT / MIRACAST:
You want to adjust your screen resolution to fit your TV or External Monitor which is connected to your HDMI output to get rid off the black bars? With Resolution Changer, you can set your resolution to fit perfectly to the external monitor.
Additionally, with the HDMI Auto Resolution feature enabled, your device will detect your external HDMI Monitor and sets the screen resolution and density automatically to a chosen preset.
With overscan set, you can adjust your screen output padding to match excatly the External Monitor.

# DEVELOPMENT
You are developing apps and you want to test your app on different devices? Just use a device preset or create your own one to simulate the screen resolution and density of every possible device.

# GAMES
Your device is too slow for the latest games? Just change the resolution to a lower one and enjoy your games with a higher framerate.

Hints:
If the device has problems with a choosen resolution, the default one will be restored after some seconds. Some apps like the launcher or the keyboard might not always scale correctly with every resolution.
The application is still restricted to the technical conditions of the device. That means, you wont be able to choose a resolution your device is not capable of displaying.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Its not working dude seriously
1 ★Ye 100% bkwas or jhot hain
4 ★Android Lollipop
5 ★Perfect worked as described and saved me hrs of playing to try and solve some over scan issue
5 ★This is the only app that did this trick for me. Nice work guys! Really good!
5 ★Very useful for those of is with low vision
5 ★I am using Nexus 10 and this app fixed my problems when using my HDTV... One request - can you add N10 as preset? I saved my own but it would be good to have it predefined... Thanks! To add: I love the "auto switch" feature, restores the original resolution when HDMI is unplugged. No restart... hope the screen lock can be removed....
1 ★Some settings don't work on my tablet . they cut the home and menu buttons out of the screen which is bad obviously. Please help trying to find the best setting for a few games
4 ★I have an AppRadio2 in the car and was looking for something that could automatically change screen PPI setting of my Nexus 5 to a lower setting to make better use of the larger screen when connected over HDMI. This application does exactly that - plug the phone, resolution and PPI changes to a preset you defined. Wonderful! However, transition back/forth isn't always smooth. Very often phone reboots upon HDMI disconnect. And when this happens, settings often remain half finished you have to go fix things manually, reboot.. Thankfully you can quickly restore things using the app. Maybe if the disconnect event is delayed a bit Resolution Changer would be more successful in restoring settings? Hopefully this app will get better. Looking forward for updates!
1 ★I purchased this app and tried to change my screen resolution, but caused my tablet to shut down and go into a soft brick state, the only way I could recover my tablet was to factory reset my whole device! I lost all my stuff! I factory reset the device and re installed it (giving the app the benefit of the doubt) and tried to change the resolution, and it did the exact same thing and I had to reset the device again! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
1 ★Loaded on my galaxy note 2. Chose 240dpi. Phone worked fine until n restarted now its stuck on Samsung Logo
3 ★Works well on my Samsung galaxy S3 with cyanogen mod 11, but it seems to be missing a very important feature. I can't figure out how to edit/delete user defined preset resolutions. Once you add a resolution to the list you're stuck with it unless you clear app data in which case you end up clearing all the resolutions you've added instead of just the one you wanted to remove. I thought maybe if I added a new one with the same name it would effectively "edit" it, but it adds a duplicate instead.
