5 ★I organise a local race for charity and have always found it hard to find affordable and reliable timing. This app is the best thing that s happened. The first time I used it I tested it against our usual timex timer and times were identical. The real bonus for me is how quickly we can get the results and how easy it is to put a link on our website to it. Great app, i never experienced any problems with it, delighted with it and has made timing affordable for us as a fundraising race. Thank you!
5 ★Having organised and participated in club running races of all types for decades, I cannot imagine a more perfect, low cost timing solution than this. It does everything I want. User training and practice before using on a real event are vital as there are a few slightly complex options for recording times and fixing errors on the finish line screens but anyone who can use a smartphone or tablet should get up to speed very quickly.
5 ★I have organised off road events for 3 years and was looking at either buying or hiring in chip timing services but Webscorer handles all the complexities of a chip timed race from a couple of tablets. Having recorded race results on pen and paper this using Webscorer saved a lot of time after the race. We are also not in the position to being able to afford chip timing easily but with a well organised finish team, webscorer does it for you. The app is extremely well thought through with the array of race set up options and results posting options. Some serious thought has gone into this. We timed a race of 600 runners (in 2 waves) on 2 tablets, 1 for male and 1 for female runners and got 90% of runners numbers as they crossed the line and easily filled in the blanks or 'No Bib' athletes after the race. This was only our first time using the app and I am sure we will get even better with time. At a price of just $50usd for up to 5 devices for 1 year it represents superb value, especially when you consider this would hire you just 20 chips for 1 event.
5 ★I've been using Webscorer PRO on Android since the beta and have timed close to 100 track races on it as well as several cyclocross events. While there were a few bugs in the first release that caused problems, the app has been a great tool for our group and has allowed rapid posting of results. Webscorer support is extremely quick to reply to questions and issues. They have pointed me to the best way to use the app and are open to considering new features and enhancements. The yearly charge is high for an app but you are really getting much, much more than a one piece of software. I'm hoping to see some new capabilities for non-timed events (like point races) and would like the web interface to be a bit smoother but all in all this is worth the price.
