The annotation camera was designed with inspection and engineering fields in mind but is a great tool for anyone interested in a camera with easy to use annotation tools.TEXT
*The text tool allows for annotations directly onto the photo in a variety of colors and opacity.
*The camera has a memory of 250 comments designed for those fields where common recurring text is necessary. This saves the operator time and improves accuracy.
*The top seven comments are displayed in a drop down and the remaining comments are auto complete when entering the first couple of letters in the text.
*All text is re-sizable and easily selected and moved on the picture for optimum placement.
ARROWS
*Arrows are easily created by dragging your finger across the screen in the direction you wish the arrow to point. *Arrows are re-sizable and can be re-positioned on the picture.
CIRCLES
*The circle tool creates ovals and / or circles by diagonal finger dragging on the screen.
*All circles can be re-sized and re-positioned on the photo.
*On screen controls have been simplified to ensure the photos can be taken quickly and efficiently. Controls include on screen resolution control and a flash toggle which lets the user toggle through flash on / off / auto.
*Each photo is date and time stamped to provide a record for the user.
*All annotations can be discarded from the photo using the trash can at the lower right corner of the screen.
*Orientation of the photo can be changed even after the photo has been taken simply by rotating the camera left or right.
*Tap to focus on the screen.
*The user has the ability to choose a save location on the phone or SD card to customize for specific jobs or uses.
*Toggle the date and time stamp to on or off.
*The annotation camera is integrated with Drop Box. A drop box folder can be created or selected through the annotation camera as a default folder for a copy of the annotated picture.
A special note to 3D Inspection users. This camera has been designed to work with the 3D Inspections phone app. Once the Annotation Camera is selected as the default camera you will not need to leave the 3D Inspections app to draw your annotations and then add the image back to the inspection in progress. Instead, the inspection app will automatically launch the annotation camera and annotations can be made as you take the picture. The saved picture will automatically be input into the 3D inspection phone app saving you time and effort.

5 ★I love this app for use with 3D inspection software. It has cut down the time in the office reviewing photos and adding comments by at least 1/2 hour per inspection. Worth every penny. Also I have used this app on two different phones. It set up and worked with my Nexus 5 until I dropped it from a roof down to an concrete aggregate driveway. I had a rough start with my new Huawei Honor 6 phone. Mike from Annotation camera had the patience to help me work through the set up. This phone was not as easy to set up as most. Take the time to play / learn the app. It is once again worth every penny.
2 ★App stopped working from day one. Updated it and now it flashes a variety of colors with around 10 images repeated. Useless to me.
2 ★Great concept, terrible execution, definitely not ready for use in current form... Don't understand why 3D pushed this app without extensive field testing in real world use prior to recommending to their clients! Obvious problems: App doesn't focus camera properly half the time and you end up with an blurry, out of focus picture. You don't have the option to pick a place in the photo to focus on (ie. a data plate) like every other photo app does. You can't zoom and expand picture as you can with every other photo app in Android. The insert object command, (ie. insert arrow) doesn't work reliably, frequently doesn't work at all (The main selling point for the app??). You can't select a particular object to remove in case of an error in placement, so the only option is to discard the photo entirely and take another photo. After taking a photo, instead of inserting the photo into the report and closing the app, it brings the photo screen up again about 40% of the time and you have to manually hit the back button to close the app. It has the potential to be a great inspection tool, but the app needs Lots and lots of work to be viable. Seems like they really rushed this out rather than properly beta testing and working out all the bugs... At this point, a waste of $5.00. Using a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge running Android version 7.01

5 ★This camera has taken at least a half an hour off of every inspection. It's actually fun to use. I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend it!
5 ★I have been using this app for a while now and love it! I am sooooo happy that there is finally an app that will work with 3D. It cuts at least 15 minutes off of my inspections since I can mark the photos right away! It is fast and simple to use and I would recommend this app tp anyone who wants to annotate photos. Great job and thank you for coming up with this great app!
