Description
JYOTISMATI VIDYAPEETH LAMAHI is a privately run English medium school located at Lamahi, Dang, province No.5 in the mid-western part of Nepal. The institution was established in 2063 B.S.(2006 A.D.) and currently offers school level quality education from Grade Nursery to Ten. It is one of the five schools offering Consciousness-Based Education (CBE) in Nepal and the only school of this kind in the whole Mid and far-western region of the country.The school is providing Sanskrit and Yoga classes for better lingual development and physical fitness of the students. There is an Activity Based Curriculum with the complete Audio Visual Technology at the pre-primary level. Likewise, the students of class One to Ten are provided with multimedia facilities like Projectors and Smart Board based e-classes.
The school is greatly influenced by Maharishi’s Vedic Science, and the school building is Nepal ’s first building constructed being strictly based on Maharishi’s Sthapatya Veda (Maharishi’s Vastu).
Students from Grade Six and Seven practice Transcendental Meditation (TM) and Grade Eight to Ten practice TM and TM-Siddhi twice daily at school. All the teachers are CBE trained and most of them are Siddhas. The school works in coordination with Maharishi Vedic Foundation country office Nepal for CBE related training, TM and TM-Siddhi programmes.
