Description

OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition which is a technology to convert image to text. This apps takes an image and converts it into digitized text which can then be shared to other applications such as Email and SMS, or simply copy paste the text to anywhere you like.

Garbage in, garbage out - make sure text is sharp and large enough for recognition.
**Make sure text is upright (horizontally aligned to the app)** Beware of camera rotation!
Handwritten text will not work.
Text on top of unclean background (images or borders/lines in excel sheet) will not work.
PDF source is not supported.
OCR for Gujarati, Persian and Punjabi is experimental and the result is very bad. You have been warned.

2 ★It's a great OCR app, it's fast as well. But if the developer can add more features like: 1. Option to save on the app whatever you've worked on 2. Saving your work as a pdf file 3. Option to choose more than one image from the gallery 4. Ability for OCR to detect numbers and emails... And lots more other cool features, then this app can be rated as one of the best.

1 ★I purchased the text to speech upgrade and I'm so disappointed. The speech is unnatural, disjointed and hard to understand. It also mispronounced words which makes it even more difficult to understand. I requested a refund through Google Play and I was denied. Overall I do not recommend if you are looking for text to speech features.
