To serious game που δημιουργήσαμε είναι ένα καινοτόμο λογισμικό για την εκμάθηση του ελληνικού και του αγγλικού κώδικα Braille. H καινοτομία του έγκειται στο ότι δίνει τη δυνατότητα στους χρήστες να διδαχθούν, να κάνουν εξάσκηση αλλά και να εξακριβώσουν τις γνώσεις τους στον κώδικα Braille παίζοντας ένα παιχνίδι. Όπως έχουν δείξει σχετικές έρευνες, σημαντικός παράγοντας για την ποιότητα ζωής των individuals with visual impairments είναι η γνώση τού κώδικα Braille. Για το λόγο αυτό, είναι σημαντικό τόσο το οικογενειακό τους περιβάλλον όσο και οι εκπαιδευτές τους να είναι καλοί γνώστες του συγκεκριμένου κώδικα. Σκοπός του λογισμικού είναι να τους διευκολύνει να αποκτήσουν αλλά και να διατηρήσουν τις γνώσεις τους στον κώδικα Braille. Το serious game που αναπτύξαμε είναι application τύπου mobile learning και τρέχει σε mobile phones and other portable devices με λειτουργικό android.Η εφαρμογή "Μάθε Braille" δημιουργήθηκε με την υποστήριξη του Πανελληνίου Συνδέσμου Τυφλών - Περιφερειακή Ένωση Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας κατά τη διάρκεια των μαθημάτων πιστοποίησης στη γραφή και ανάγνωση του κώδικα Braille το φθινόπωρο του 2015. Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε το σωματείο για την εποικοδομητική συνεργασία που είχαμε κατά την εκπόνηση της έρευνας αξιολόγησης του λογισμικού.
