Modrić, born September 9, 1985 in Zadar (Croatia), is a Croatian international football player who plays for Real Madrid's midfielder. He is, with Davor Šuker and Bernard Vukas, considered as one of the greatest Croatian players in history.He is currently the captain of the Croatia team, which he leads to the final at the 2018 World Cup where he is voted best player of the competition.
