EMERGENCY LISTENING CAPABILITIES:
NextRadio offers two ways to listen to live, local FM Radio. If your device has the FM receiver chip activated, you will be able to listen to local, terrestrial FM radio which uses less data and saves your battery life compared to streaming. The activated FM chip allows you to listen to NextRadio during times of emergency, working even when cell towers are down. The cord from your headphone or stereo cable act as an antenna to receive local FM radio signals.

5 ★My gratitude to NextRadio for giving me the pleasure to listen my favorites local FM radios on my Galaxy-S9 Plus. Low memory usage, low battery consumption, low or nada data usage but HIGH quality app. Long happy life to you all NextRadio developers.

1 ★Doesn't work. What else is there to say? Told me my phone had a FM chip, but then refused to allow me to tune to any station including the one I am listening to on my radio...

3 ★The only app that allows me to use the FM capability of my Samsung Galaxy phone without rooting it. I don't understand why they don't support RDS and airplane mode, but I'm generally quite satisfied when I'm not traveling... Those two additions would be great though!!

1 ★Doesn't work. Says network unavailable, and gets stuck on that screen. I'm clearly connected to Wi-Fi and 4G so this doesn't make sense. Please fix

2 ★Battery usage is high when using. Apparently the app has no song identification capability. Keeps asking if I want to delete my favorite stations. Has not yet managed to acquire a list of local stations. But it is a radio. Thanks for that.

2 ★Apps is always in "speaker OFF" mode and have to turn on speaker everytime app is started, no Setting to change default : ( Does not download Minneapolis local stations : ( Verified my internet/wifi is working ... app does not seem to be able to detect a working internet connection.

5 ★I think that this is the best radio app out there. I pick up more stations using the app than using a regular radio. One of my favorite stations won't even come in at all on my regular radio. I get that same station clearly, using this app.

1 ★Come on, I specifically bought a phone with a working fm chip (Samsung Xcover Pro) but there is literally NO WAY TO USE IT now that Next Radio is dead. All the rest of the apps are streaming scams even when they say 'offline'. Ugh. Google, wake up!

5 ★I am hearing impaired, with the use of an FM transmitter, I can listen to TV without having the speaker volume turned away up. I can also listen to FM and wifi radio stations.

1 ★It won't connect to my home or cell network, even though I'm connected. Totally worthless if you can't get even use it for local FM broadcasts. It used to work on my other phones, before they added The internet radio stations.
