3 ★Poorly designed UI- something akin to early 2000s more than this decade. Unintuitive and not streamlined. The app DOESN'T buffer the stream sufficiently (if at all), so any interruption in cellular data stops it from playing. Worse yet are the pop-up and full screen ads, albeit infrequent (so far)- there's no way to close them short of killing the app and relaunching
2 ★Like the variety of stations on the mobile app, but the UI looks very unpolished. Was switching from TuneIn because TuneIn doesn't have a watch app available, so I had high hopes for myTuner, but was very disappointed I couldn't log into my account to sync my favorite stations. I'm also disappointed that there is no search functionally on there, which means I have no way of listening to my stations on the watch app.
5 ★Straight forward radio 'tuner' emulation. Streams many stations well. Usually buffers and keeps signal smooth and steady. Better than the well known competitor in this category. Allows calls to come through and automatically resumes. Has lots of podcasts that come up easily. Even a very modest EQ - so often needed - but rarely included. Best choice in class.
2 ★Found it on a long road trip a few years ago. 5 STAR LOVE for years UNTIL... The danged app DEMANDS to run in the background. It strains and drains my phone; overrides notification blocks and revises my listed Faves. Some stations/podcasts don't even load! I have uninstalled it. Reinstalled it and tweaked the settings. It's a mess. Boooooo to the updates! UPDATE; STILL trying to run in the back ground. No bueno!
5 ★I see this app is going down the same road TuneIn and countless others have gone down. trying to appease too many tastes and forgetting what got them popular. myTuner was/is a great app to find alternative radio stations from a large arena. as vague and simplistic as that sounds, myTuner is great at doing it. I hope they keep it simple and stripped down of all the other fluff TuneIn and the rest are busy chasing.
4 ★myTuner Radio free v update: forces ads on you FAR TOO FREQUENTLY. and it's very obvious those ads use a LOT of memory & cpu resources! Plus of course, you then have to listen to the ads that are built into the station's you're listening to. It has some of the radio stations I was looking for but is missing quite a few others. Also, it will NOT run without starting the Chrome browser for some crazy reason! And if you force close the Chrome browser the myTuner radio app stops working!?!
1 ★Worked great initially, now there are so many ads, everytime one pops up the app stops and u have to restart it, so annoying, I uninstalled it. Everybody understands the need for ads, that is not the issue. The issue is at the ads cause the radio to go out and all you hear are the ads, this happens every couple minutes which is unacceptable
1 ★The stations on this app are great. But the app itself is so crappy. And I paid for this crappy app. Basic things like login using Google doesn't work. Clicking on stations doesn't start. I better go back to TuneIn free. I need to restart the app to make the clicks work. I will wait for another update and go for refund if these basic stuff doesn't work.
1 ★I'm listening to a radio station with ads and then the app interrupts the radio program to play an ad! Then my phone gets a notification and plays a notification tone which interrupts the app, so it plays another ad before returning to the program! Edit: Thanks for your response, but your explanation is FALSE. The station never cuts off a radio program in the middle of a thought to play an ad and then return to the program already in progress, causing me to miss part of the program; that's you!
1 ★constantly cuts out and shuts down at key moments I'm trying to listen to. ads play randomly over the actual program I'm trying to listen to. ads plays in the beginning but won't go back to the program so I have to reload it and then sit thru another ad. this looped 5-6 times over on several occasions. I do not suggest this P.o.s. app what so ever. would give it 0 stars if I could
2 ★Lots of stations too many ads clogs up the app. Sometimes you can't close the ads they take over and you can't close them. I understand apps need ads for revenue but this was a bit too much. If you can't close the ad or it doesn't time out then the app is crippled and useless which in this case is bad since the app actually looks good when you can get to it.
3 ★This app contains commercials which you are not able to immediately back out. the ad will continue playing for 15 to 20 seconds and not allow you to listen to the program or radio station you desired. I don't get all the programming I'm looking for in iHeartRadio but I don't have to put up with these capturing ads. The adds occur when any station is first started. If i need to get rid of the add, I stop I need to stop ituner and restart. I haven't the same issue with the individual radio apps.
