4 ★Amazing app. I love that I can see content both from new and established creators with ease and accessibility. Even the coins system, daily pass, and fast pass are all done well so it's easy to read the content you want without much inconvenience. The only thing I wish is that you were able to remove series from the "my series" thing as I've clicked on a couple of series I ended not being interested in and I find it hard to keep up with the content I actually enjoy when those are being suggested
1 ★I've had this app for 8 years, and in the past 2 or so years it started to fall off, it used to be great now you have to pay for everything, if you want to reread a comic you have to pay and you only have a time limit to read it before you have to pay again, this app has gone downhill, its such a shame. It doesn't help that they take your coins away that you earned by doing tasks in other app, that is super scummy and sleezy to do
2 ★I agree with all the other negative reviews about paywalls and the stupid "daily passes" and whatnot, but this also has a serious QOL issue that they recently implemented. It does not show you all of your subscribed Webtoons on the home screen that have updated anymore. So I think maybe they're on hiatus or something when that's never the case. It's very frustrating. It also shows you Webtoons you're not even subscribed to and only just glanced at.
2 ★I've been on webtoon for while now and I've fully enjoyed it until as of late. Recently it's been restricting comics that I have already been reading and know that I'm perfectly fine with while other comics that have a similar style of a graphic story are not blocked, which is good but doesn't make sense to age restrict the other stories that were originally available to me as well. This is thoroughly disappointing to see on this app, especially for someone who has enjoyed it for years until now
1 ★The stories and how I can get them have become worse and worse and worse over the years. We make everything hard to access and that daily pasting is like seriously stupid as well. As the 3 ads that you can play to read head for me. It says you have one daily pass. And you have 3 ads. But then I go on there and I can even use. The app has just gone down and just keep going. Don't even know what to do with it anymore i'm about to delete it.
1 ★Loved it, was following several series avidly. The app stopped working a few months back, and wont load anything anymore. I low key suspect I'll never get to read the ending of the series I loved, because once they're completed, things get locked and you need to pay money to read them, and i don't get paied enough to spend real money to be allowed to read a couple pages for a few hours
1 ★I used to LOVE webtoon but now I tend to recommend against it. So many times I click in to read a story and I use my one free pass that week on a chapter I've already read. I am so happy to look at some ads, but there is never any available. I am sick of this stupid money grab. Just let me read your stories with a small ad on the screen and stop asking for money just because a story has been completed! It's stupid and stops new readers from reading that story. At least let me a few at a time.
1 ★It's used to be a great app for reading comics, but I have recently come to the end of one I can't read without coins. If I can't finish the comics, I might as well not have the app. I don't like in app purchases, but I tried a treasure hunt to get coins. I finished the hunt (over a week of my time) but didn't get coins so I reached out to support for help. They told me I had to do more than was specified in the description of the hunt. I did what they said, and I still haven't gotten coins.
2 ★I truly love this app and the stories on it. But it's frustrating to wait for new episodes and expensive to get ahead. The major problem, though, is the Daily Pass feature. There are a lot of completed comics, but now the Daily Pass makes sure I can't read them at a reasonable pace unless I pay. It's a money sink that's not worth it anymore. I check it very rarely to get a few chapters of the last comics I care about at a time. When they wrap up, I'm finished.
1 ★Really not liking the direction this app is going. There are more and more pop-ups with no way to disable them, which is annoying. I'm even getting them while reading episodes now when before they would occasionally appear on the home page. EDIT: getting even more pop ups for series and events while reading! please add a way in settings to disable your in-app pop-ups
4 ★I was wondering if there could be a list of all the series you've completed reading, it just seems more efficient than a list of individual episodes you've unlocked with coins. Not to mention what if people want to reread a series and don't remember the name? That's quite annoying. Maybe a 1 or 2 coin reward for finishing a series, but even without the reward it would still be a beneficial idea.
3 ★Webtoon is honestly an easy app to manage. There's so many great things, and I've been a huge fan of some many lovely stories. The suspense, the comedy, the drama, I've always grown to love it. However, Webtoon litterly has become a money sucking app. Daily passes are so annoying because a lot of people want to binge a new or even older series. Not to mention, it has BANNED me to comment or even like content twice now. It's not really worth keeping the app when there's always a problem.
