To access all of the settings options note that the settings can scroll both up and down and side to side.

To use the compass, click the navigator icon on the right, and the heading indicator will turn on. Line up the heading indicator line with any of the sun line, sunrise or sunset lines, and the direction the phone is facing is the direction the sun will be. The compasses in phones are pretty inaccurate, you can usually increase the accuracy by moving the phone around in a figure-eight pattern. You can also gauge the accuracy by pointing the phone towards the sun and observing how far off it is.

Permissions: This app doesn't require any extra permissions than what is absolutely necessary to function. It uses the Google Maps API which requires access to external storage and network access. Additionally it requires access to location data to show your current position. I do not track or collect any information about users of this app, but I cannot speak for any tracking or collection the Google Maps API does.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★all u need and free!
5 ★it is good project
5 ★Does exactly what it ought to do. Tells me where the sun, moon, will be forphotos. A couple trivial suggestions. My tablet can't decide sometimes ifI'm sweeping to the next selector or scrolling. Also, is there way to listthe saved locations and jump to one?
5 ★I haven't fully explored this very useful app todate. The only thing that I have a gripe about is my 65 year eyes and lack of phone screen realestate. As for a future suggestion is, that where ever one places the cursor in the world map the current time is displayed.
5 ★It's not easy to use, but I've been looking at real estate and this app is perfect to show where the sun will rise and set at the extremes of summer and winter.
5 ★Excellent app. Thoughtful and useful information provided in an elegant and informative interface, it will have many uses. I look forward to it helping me with my photography
5 ★Great for planning photography trips! You can predict sunrise and sunsetpositions, along with moon, stars, and milky-way! All with no adverts!
5 ★This is a good app I use almost daily. But it has some annoying behavior to which I'm still not used to. 1. At startup it places me to a strange location. Namely, I live in Saint-Petersburg, Russia (≈60N, 30.5E), and time zone is MSK+0 (Moscow time; Moscow city is at ≈55.8N, 38E). And the startup location appears to be a hybrid of these: latitude of Moscow and longitude of Saint-Petersburg, so that I appear somewhere in Belarus. Current workaround is pressing "Find me" button in the top-right corner. 2. When I use date/time slider, the app appears to switch to fixed-time mode, so that if I background it and then return to it after some time, it's easy to be misled into thinking that it shows very wrong Sun position. And the worst of this is that there doesn't seem to be a switch back to "now, real-time" date. Current workaround is quitting the app by "Back" button (the sensor button under the screen) instead of simply backgrounding it by the middle button. Then the app appears to start from scratch on next tap on its icon. I'd like these issues were fixed; I can provide more details if needed: both problems are 100% reproducible.
5 ★Simply the best app. Tried almost all suntrackers on PlayMarket, but thishas the most informative interface and easy to use. Wanna see payed versionwith more features, like AR.
4 ★The moon needle should be a different colour. Great app.. keep developing it please.
5 ★It's a good app, it does what it says.
3 ★Works great on-site but as a tool to plan, the inability to enter a location to fly to is truly frustrating...
