Il Frosinone Calcio nasce ufficialmente il 19 Settembre del 1928. Una lunga tradizione
consolidata negli ultimi anni, con la partecipazione a sei campionati di Serie B spesso da protagonista, fino a conquistare nel 2015 la prima storica promozione in Serie A divenendo, dopo S.S. Lazio e A.S. Roma, la terza squadra più blasonata della regione.
Il periodo più roseo del club giallazzurro coincide con la presidenza di Maurizio Stirpe, figlio di Benito (già Presidente negli anni ‘60), che rileva la società nel 2003.
Proprio dal padre dell’attuale Presidente, prende il nome il nuovo stadio, il “Benito Stirpe”: inaugurato il 28 Settembre del 2017 è uno dei tre impianti italiani gestiti direttamente da un club (oltre all’Allianz STADIUM della Juventus e alla Dacia Arena dell’Udinese).
