3 ★Old FF Fan here who owns ALL the books... This is a brilliant idea whose time has come! I aspired to code this but your concept is much better. Big problem though: The graphics are extremely buggy on multiple high end devices. The advert showed my all time favorite, "Death Trap Dungeon". Why was this not available? Fix the graphical issues, make the other books available for purchase and it's any easy five stars.
4 ★One problem and one problem only: Lag. Additionally it would be great to have the player's basic combat stats visible at all times on the top of the screen, because keeping check of Stamina Skill and Luck penalties are very important in FF, and while the Adventure Log hides itself after a few seconds, it becomes increasingly annoying to wake up the bottom interface to check my stats.
3 ★Loads rather slowly and the books are a bit too expensive by 1/2 ($1-2 not $1.99 thats just silly) but to buy original copies of the books would cost as much and the interface is a fun and easy way to enjoy the books...again that slow load time reallt bothers me and i can edit audio in real time so...yeah i dunno load times bother me. I would also make the arrow page and choice buttons larger. over all just too expensive and slow
4 ★I enjoyed this and it took me back to my childhood. Better for killing time in the lockdown than social media anyway. It's quite a high quality app but the bit where you choose the book at the beginning often freezes which is my only gripe (Samsung Galaxy S6). I have only read Bloodbones so far but it is good with some extra facets to the gameplay than the older books.
5 ★The free book is excellent. Playing it brought back fantastic memories of playing some of the original books as a teenager in the eighties. I cannot see myself buying any of the other books if they stay at £3.99, though. I think £2 would be more tempting.
5 ★Fantastic Fighting Fantasy app! I loved these books when I was younger and this app is a great way to experience them again. The mood music provides an atmospheric touch, particularly when the music goes more upbeat when you battle a monster. The different options available (bookmarks and the occasional cheeky rewind) adds to the experience. I've never left a review of an app before but feel this is well with anyone's time. Thanks and keep adding new books please!
4 ★Great app! Getting to read all of the books from my youth with my 8 year old son. He loves them. Only downside is the cost of each book is a little high, and the selection is a bit limited. I'd love to see Steve Jackson's 'Sorcery' series included. They were my all time favourite!
5 ★Brings back memories of my childhood, though I am cheating less, as I am playing the adventure version. Love the bookmark system and as a child I never bothered with the fights, but this app makes it fun. I have introduced my children to the app, you never know they might take up some more reading with the help of this app
3 ★Everything is awesome except the map is completely broken, in forest of doom anyway. Before the books were consolidated into one app the forest of doom app had an awesome map that you could actually use to see where you are and where you haven't been, the current map mixes up east and west and criss crosses all over the place and is completely broken. Please fix it and it will be a 5 star game.
5 ★Update ....got a fast reply from customer service and all sorted very impressed with the way it was resolved i can now carry on with my adventures and introduce my kids to them ......Not happy , purchased forest of doom ages ago for about £4.99 come to install it as i fancy a go and now cant find it ! Instead im offered this rubbish . Wheres my game!
1 ★Used to be 5 star.. Not anymore If you change your device you have to pay for all. The books again.. I spoke to the developer and apparently "the guy who worked this app has left the company" but there should be a redeem purchases link in options.. There's not. You need to sort this.
5 ★Fantastic to have these classics back in digital form. I remember reading these when I was a boy and they're just as good now as they used to be.
