• Personalized Incident heat maps - Forewarned is forearmed! Based on your actual location, use this one-of-a-kind and up to date personal safety incident heat map based on official police data to plan your safest route before you head out. Get an immediate view on lower risk areas allows you to make better decisions when you choose routes to walk or places to go. Torcch puts you in control: you choose which incidents feed into your personalized heat map – only be aware of those incident types that affect you most.
• Plan Ahead – Get to know an area before you travel. Before you go somewhere new, enter an address anywhere in the U.K. to see its personal safety incident heatmap, so you don’t get caught out unaware in areas of higher risk. Find hotels in safer areas and plan your visits more wisely.
Find the safest streets to live in. Renting or buying a new home? Use Torcch´s heatmaps to find the safest streets in your city before you make such an important decision. Better information ahead of time keeps you and those you love safer.
• Be With Me – Getting home late at night? Ask a friend to watch over you in tricky situations. With Torcch´s enhanced and more functional `Be With Me´ feature, you can never be tracked against your wish, as it is always initiated by you as the trackee. Feel safer and stay in charge.
• Places of Refuge – Easily find safe spaces. If you feel threatened, the touch of a button shows you where - at that exact time of day or night and relative to your actual position - the closest places are where you can find assistance and safety in numbers.
• Note to our non-U.K. users: this is our first Torcch version and only contains U.K. incident data at present. You can already use our `Places of Refuge´ function globally, as well as our 100% secure and encrypted `Be With Me´ tracking function to ask a friend to track your journey in real-time, wherever you are in the world. It is always and only initiated by you as the trackee – no one can watch over you if you do not ask them yourself!
You will not find incident data for other countries as we are currently building our international databases.
