Description
본 협회는 2006년 8월 26일 창립총회를 거쳐 발족되었습니다.본 협회의 모태는 태권도를 사랑하는 사범님들의 모임인 ‘정무사범연합회’로서 정무사범연합회 미국 초청시범중 처음 외발자전거를 타고 지나가는 노부부의 모습을 본 것이 본 협회 창립의 씨앗이 되었습니다. 그 후 외발자전거에 흥미를 느껴 타다보니 점점 더 외발자전거의 매력에 빠지게 되어 드디어 본 협회를 만들게 된 것입니다. 창립총회 이후 9월 30일 1기 지도자를 배출하였으며 대한민국 최초로 태권도 지도자들로 이루어진 외발자전거 하키팀 (천하무적)을 창단하여 꾸준히 실력을 향상시키고 있으며 홍콩 하키팀과도 교류 하고 있습니다.
또한 정기적인 레벨 테스트를 실시하여많은 외발자전거 매니아들을 탄생시키고 있습니다..
이렇게 꾸준히 발전을 거듭하고 있는 본 협회는 외발자전거의 보급과 대중화를 위하여 총체적인 문화 컨텐츠까지 기획하고 있습니다. 그 일환으로 현대와 전통의 조화와 균형을 추구하는 프로젝트를 진행하고 있습 니다. 그 중 첫 번째로 세계 최초로 외발자전거 활쏘기 경기를 개발하였습니다.
외발자전거는 세계적으로 널리 확산된 스포츠로서 하키와 농구등 다양하게 즐길 수 있습니다. 그러나 세계 어디에도 외발자전거를 타고 활쏘기를 하는 경기는 찾아볼 수 없습니다.
예로부터 우리 한민족은 활을 잘 쏘는 동이족으로 말을 타고 활쏘기가 세계 제일이라 했습니다.
우리조상을 긍지와 기상을 되살리고자 말 대신 외발자전거를 타고 활을 손에 잡았습니다.
또한 (사)김덕수 사물놀이와의 협연을 기획중에 있습니다.
외발자전거가 몸의 균형을 이루지 못하면 탈 수 없듯 본 협회도 외발자전거라는 생활체육안에서 전통과 현대의 조화와 균형을 추구하며 외발자전거 활쏘기 국제적이면서도 독특한 대한민국만의 외발자전거 문화를 만들어 나가는 것을 추구합니다.
